I've recently found a new goal; Ragnar Relay just added a trail version and it sounds ridiculously awesome.
Two nights camping and an 8 team, 15 mile per person, trail running relay. Non runners welcome to camp along in the village in support. There is yoga and a beer garden.

I'm eyeing the Phoenix one because it is local, but if any runners/hikers/campers here think it might be fun to do as a g2g I'd be willing to travel

I'm dying to do a Ragnar! I was invited to be on a team (it was here in Atlanta last month) but it never came together.

There's one up by me in September
Ragnar Relay Adirondacks might just take your breath away! The Ragnar event with the ‘Best Fall Colors’ takes place September 26-27, 2014, and you don’t want to miss out. Pristine lake views, rolling hills, and miles and miles designed for runners are all part of Ragnar Relay Adirondacks. You’ll kick things off under the big orange arch in Saratoga Spa State Park in Saratoga Springs, skirt along the Hudson River, pass through the Lake George region, run up the southern side of Lake Champlain and finish in Lake Placid, the home of two Winter Olympic Games. Experience the Adirondacks as only the Ragnar Nation can and get ready to conquer the course and celebrate with your friends!
You are important and you matter. Your feelings matter. Your voice matters. Your story matters. Your life matters. Always.
