Little Man is going to be five in June!

Here are some pics from his first game:

Mr. Serious...

Congratulatory hugs from his cousin.

...and his sister...

My granddaughters (2.5 years and 17.5 months) - they're actually starting to get along (they are cousins).

They are so cute! I love going to my grandkids' games. DGS started T-ball last year. The games are fun and funny to watch. Sometimes painfully so but generally fun and funny.

Oh for sure! In his age group, there is no score, everyone gets to bat, there are no "outs", etc...and it is so fun to watch. One kid decided he didn't feel like playing anymore so he planted his butt right at the pitchers mound played in the dirt.

Yes, Lalagirl, the ones disengaged from the game (ie: most of them ) are so much fun. One boy sat down at ss, pulling grass with both hands, tossing it in the air while his horrified Mom yelled at him to stand up. Another reached back to toss the ball to the first baseman and dropped it behind his head instead. All while the exasperated "veteran" player on the team yelled at them all, telling them what they should be doing. And that was just one "inning". Like you said, each one gets to hit and field without keeping score. Can't wait to see this year's games!

Me too - it's a blast!

My GS takes it very seriously - the coach puts the kids in different positions on the field to give them a feel for it. When the other team hits the ball, no matter where it goes, GS goes after it ...he could be in the outfield and he will run his ass over to 1st base to get the ball. Then you have this cluster of kids on the same team running into one another to get the ball.

He's a pretty good hitter! But he forgets to drop the bat and run ... we all yell "Run!!" and he does this "walk-run" - he's in no hurry.

The age range of the kids is 4-6 - there is only one girl on the team, which is unlike the days when my girls played, it was almost all girls!
