Mostly kidding.

I have TrackMyiPhone. When we went to Mexico and I shut down all of my roaming stuff, I guess I turned that off. A few weeks later, BW tried to find me, and my phone was off line. BW had a moment of panic, but I immediately called from where I was at. I figured out how to turn it back on.

This week, the IT guy at my firm was checking all of the security settings and whatever else on the phones. Today, I was in a meeting and shut off the ringer. So I didn't take her call or see her text. I guess the IT guy did something, because my phone was off line again.

I called BW right back, but I know she was panicked. Just when I think everything is going OK, BAM! The strangest things, too. I hate that I have put all of these extra traps into our lives.

At the very least, I have to check FindMyiPhone every time someone has my phone.

I'm going through the same thing right now. I'm at work, he calls, I don't answer (in meetings) and he panics. Feel horrible, call right back when I can.. It's so hard going thru this constantly in panic mode that I'm going to miss a call when he has a trigger..

We have noticed my "find my iPhone" was turned off twice lately and I did NOT turn it off. I think it may have turned off when I did the iPhone updates.

Just a gentle suggestion.

Don't use a work-issued cell phone for personal use. Carry your own and all non-work related calls and people call your personal one.

The company issued one belongs to the company and all data that stored on it including apps and texts.

And I can sympathize. My phone is OFF for all con calls and meetings. No ifs, ands, or buts.
