Quick up to date about me, I am going through the D and have been a SAHM, met my husband at 19 and currently 41. Worked odd and end jobs here or there, was lucky found a managing job, but thank you big buy outs, my company lost the business.

During that time, I had actually, lost my gall bladder, uterus, found lumps and had been bed ridden for a good 6 months. This is when the "affair" was actually half assed confessed. But I digress.

Now, I am currently working part time waitressing and 2 years into pre reqs and co reqs for a nursing program at a community college, we decided that I would go and get 2 degrees at once while I get my nursing degree, during our false R.

During my marriage, we always had financial problems, only when he was responsible. So I found things at home to do. First and sadly, I am a couch potato, I love movies, tv shows, etc. I guess you would say I am an artist. I can make a lot of things. I crochet, taught myself how to knit, refurnish dumpster dives, jewelry, soap making, candle making, you name it, I have probably made it.

Everything I used to do, I find no love in at all anymore. I guess because it is because this house is bad juju and I just don't want to sit in it anymore. It has boxes packed all over the place and you can only clean so much.

I need help...I need ideas what I can do, free, outside of the home during the summer. I have a few vacations and concerts already planned. It's all the spare time, I need to get my mind off things!

I lived at the library! I could always get a book and get lost in it to keep my mind occupied.

Sad in AZ posted 5/16/2014 08:24 AM You can pretty much find ANYTHING you might want to do (craft/knitting/hiking/yoga/group outings/etc.). And if you can't find one you like, start your own!

I'll second Also if you are so inclined sell those refurbished dumpster dives/ handcrafted items. Volunteer - the humane society is always looking for help. Visit a nursing home, read to kids in a school or preschool.

I'm crafty, and like you, lost my joy in creating things. I've found I can get some of that joy back teaching/helping others (in my case DDs) how to upcycle and create. I'm not doing the hands on stuff- just lending expertise. So far I'm excited for her creations coming out as she imagines them.
