I read a medical study on infidelity. The study described infidelity as anything to do with Physical, Emotional (including reconnecting with an old flame on social networking) or Mental (including porn or imagining the Hooters waitress or delivery man)Lusting.
The study (ranged from newlyweds to at least golden anniversary individuals) showed 70% of married couples have then committed infidelity. Only 12% were physical infidelity. Out of that only 1.8% were serial cheaters. And out of that only 0.4 wed their OP. The study concluded most marriages are salvageable after A's. As long as the WS is ashamed and remorseful. (obviously)
It then showed the 30% whom never committed any form of infidelity were asked for their spouses participation as well. Both, still had the frontal lobe "love" chemical present in brain scans no matter how long they were married, 95% of them had extremely healthy sex lives of more than 3 times a week. 3.5% Had sex more than 7 times a week. And, 1.5 did not participate in sex anymore but were still intimate.
The secret of these people. They spent more time together. in the category of more than 7 times a week, a majority of the couples worked together as well. Some believe absence makes the heart grow fonder, but too much absence leads to infidelity according to science. And, common sense of course.
The brain is incredible. And, those that say it's animal nature, bullsh*t, I have to disagree; it's just selfish. Human brains were built for monogamy. That's my sharing on the subject.
