Well, we are off to Ireland! I am packing my green, some comfy walking shoes and a rain jacket! This is a company-earned trip. I am proud of my H for this achievement. I recall after D-Day me telling him it was time to step up. As a H, a dad and a business owner. This is nothing but proof that he did that. Can't fake this!

Anyway, we will be around lots of women who like to hug and I am reminded to watch myself watching him (bionic's comment re: evaluating as per brokensmile's thread). I have no doubt that at least a couple of these gals know of the A which of course makes me uncomfortable. The AP will not be there thank goodness.

Pretty sure I won't be indulging in Guinness. Maybe I will take to whiskey....or maybe not!

So, if you don't hear from me for a couple weeks, you now know why. I am going to miss you guys! And man, am I going to miss my kids.

Thanks all. I am nervous about going overseas and my eldest has had a few tears. Makes it hard to get excited....but I think once I get there I will be okay. Get to see my parents in between flights so that is something I am really looking forward too!

First of all, LA, that sounds wonderful! Will you kiss the Blarney stone? Enjoy yourself and make lots of memories ! BUT-

OMG! Your post about the other women hugging. I was just going to post about hugging. Is this a normal business procedure? I am trying to wrap my head around it. I cannot believe you mentioned it. And the evaluating----I DO THE EXACT SAME THING AS YOU AND BIONIC GAL!

I could go on and on but I don't want to T/J your thread!

Be safe!

Have a wonderful time LA44. Ireland is amazing. We spent some time there in 2011. (if you're interested I have a blog at http://richardsonseurope2011.blogspot.com/ the Ireland part starts at Day 15) The Irish are such amazingly friendly people.

LA44 - have an amazing time. Though you can't help but doing so because Ireland is wonderful. Irish Coffee, I got hooked on it the first time I went and have taken to drinking it every time I'm there. And a lot of times when I'm not here too. It'saclimb is right, the people are incredibly friendly. Can't do enough for you. Have great time and enjoy yourselves. It's a nice time time of the year to be there too. The greenery is fabulous. Oh how I envy you this trip. Enjoy!!!

And remember Murphy is right. Nothing is so bad that it can't get worse!!!

@brokensmile, yes they are taking us out early this week to kiss the stone. I will kiss it for all of you too! And yeah...hugging women...I don't get it. We didn't do this when I was working in Corp way back when.

ItsaClimb, wow! Thanks. I will be sure to check out your blog.

Thank you all for your well wishes. And yes, Joanh....a time for seeing new.

Have a good couple weeks, friends. Be true
