I love swimming, I feel like im home when im in the water. So I got test results back recently and I need to lose weight. Part of it is because of my health issues. Part of it is my inactivity due to health issues. Heres my question can I lose weight doing nothing but swimming workouts and should I just be doing lap swimming for trying to find aqua workout classes?

95% of losing weight is cutting your caloric intake, its very very difficult to lose weight just by upping the calories you burn by exercising.
On the positive side swimming does burn lots of calories, however I found that at least in the beginning it really stimulated my appetite into overdrive. So you will really have to be extra careful how much and what you are eating.

Oh yes I will be cutting calories or rather eating properly. My calorie intake is not huge but I typically only eat one meal a day and that at the end of the day so not great...

I did various swim workouts. My easy days was just straight laps at a comfortable pace.
I vary it up by using the swim gloves for some laps, bursts of intense speed periodically, and change up strokes. I also did do water zumba because it was fun.
And, yes, you can lose a lot of weight with swimming as a workout. Like others, I get incredibly hungry, but I drink healthy smooties (no added sugar other than the fruit) and use almond milk with veggies as a snack between meals and it helps curb the hunger. It's important to keep your glucose levels from big spikes and lulls.

I swim as well. Make sure you're doing interval work.
I do a 200 warm up, 200 kick, 200 pull, 500 moderately easy, 200 breast, 200 back, and then I do no-breathers across the pool 8 times for a 200.
can also throw in the sprinting.
