I signed into Comcast on the PC W uses yesterday so I could see my custom TV listings. When I was done, I apparently clicked on something inadvertently. When W went to use the PC, match.com was up.

It turns out our 'friend' Comcast has a direct link to match.com. They probably get cash every time someone clicks the fucking link. (I'd write more, but I'd violate the political guideline.)

The actual link purports to be info on dating. It doesn't show where it will take you unless you look at the link's properties.

This is a rant, BTW

Ugh, I hate those sneaky links. I'm terrified of clicking one inadvertently, forgetting, and then blaming WH. It's so hard, just seeing them triggers me (and H didn't even use those types of sites)!

If it helps...I think match.com does not accept anyone that says married but dating. Of course people lie and claim they are divorced, but more often they are looking for other married APs. Dont worry about the match.com link...unless your wife is a narcissist/sociopath type person.

But I certainly understand your irritation. I HATE HATE HATE the dating/screwing around help these pigs give each other. There are now apps that allow texting but hide themselves when you are not using them. Pigs of a feather I guess.

(((sisoon)))

Was she upset? Did this cause an issue or was it just a nasty trigger? Sorry either way. NOT awesome.

Ugh... those links seem almost impossible to escape these days. I'm sorry, man.

I've found that using Firefox with the Adblock Plus plugin blocks a lot of that stuff.

W just asked. If she was worried, I didn't see it. I was worried because I value privacy, and I was a sure as I could be that neither of us was interested in finding other matches.

Also, when I see the match.com ad, I sometimes wonder if we'd come up as matches for each other, and I wondered if I tried the site out and forgot about doing so.... Yikes!
