Tesla - It's Friday afternoon and no weekend post yet? Are you slacking, honey?

I actually have plans! Tonight I'm heading out to a friend's house for a BBQ g2g with a bunch of fabulous folks (many former coworkers who had moved on to other employers even before I was laid off) who I haven't seen in ages. Can't wait to hang out, catch up, and laugh.

Tomorrow I'm hitting some garage sales with a different friend who just finalized her divorce (not infidelity related). We're hunting down furnishings for the house she and her kids are moving into. We are big "flea market make over" fanatics and we love finding old things and refinishing/repurposing them. We haven't done a project together in years, so it should be great fun.

Sunday I'm planning to head out of town to visit my dad and bring him some poppyseed kolaches. They are his childhood favorite and they remind him of his mom.

What's everyone else up to?

Dammit nik, I got caught by a parent after school!!! Usually, I'm out the door right after the kids on a Friday...but not today!

There are speed boat races in town this weekend. So Teslet and I are going to check out the parade and the boats this evening. Tomorrow we will go watch some races!

We also need to bake a tie-dye cake...found a box mix and teslet thinks it's the coolest thing ever. Other than that, the usual chores plus updating goals for special ed students to get sent home with their report cards.

I have one week left of school. Come on summer break!!!!

I'm hanging out with the kids tonight. Unfortunately, I also have a headache. I took a short nap with the hopes of it going away, but no luck.

Tomorrow, we are celebrating DS7's 8th birthday. It will be a combined party with his cousins who are turning 7 and 5.

Sunday is DS's birthday. Not sure what we will do besides go to church. Maybe I'll take the boys to the park to play or something.

Failure is success if we learn from it.

I am having all 5 of the Irish bunch this weekend Should be tons of BBQ-ing, campfires and marshmallow roasting. I don't get all of the kids in one spot very often so it's always a treat. Also we will be kinda celebrating. IrishLad, the baby, has been named as a 7th grade leader to help with the 6th grade orientation in August. He and I have also been invited to a parent, student breakfast on June 5th, this is for students who have had NO disciplinary issues this school year. They recognize how special that is in Middle School. I recognize how amazing that kiddo of mine is

Yay Sunsets!!

Tonight me and the crazy cats are hanging out.

Tomorrow visiting pawn shops and consignment stores in the hopes of getting rid of stuff. I'm downsizing slowly.

Maybe a quick trip to some beach/ salvage store/ and if I make a little money : concert tickets.

Sunday church, laundry and cleaning.

Have a safe weekend everyone!

I know one of the co-writers of that "coast of somewhere beautiful" song.

I'm having a vodka cocktail right now and heading to Seatac tomorrow for James Taylor. And some good eats.

Wheeee.

I decided to ignore my headache and be proactive. I moved some of my plants from the front yard to pots in the back yard to make room for a butterfly bush that I forgot to plant. I also planted some tulip bulbs that turned brown a couple of weeks ago. My mom says they will come back next year!

The boys occupied themselves with the computer and wii.

Just got home from work, so Friday is shot.

Tomorrow is yoga and an oil change. Then, maybe grass cutting.

Sunday will be something to get me out. Either a flea market or museum.

Weather looks to be awesome here. I need to refresh myself because next week is gonna be a real bitch.

Tonight I'm just hanging out with the kids. Took them to the Children's museum this morning and swam in the pool this afternoon.

Tomorrow DD had a birthday party at a classmate's house.

Sunday we'll probably go to church in the morning, then hit the grocery store. DD starts her summer camp program on Monday, so it's back to packing lunches

@ Tesla: The tiedye cake is great. DGD had one for her bday last year and everyone loved the look and the taste, but they said it was hard to make. Hope you and Teslet have fun with it.

I'm in Vegas with the kids and grandson

Returned mom to Phoenix last night--a harrowing trip during which she fell flat on her face in a parking lot during our restroom break. She was a bloody mess, but at least she didn't break anything. When I got her home, she proceeded to put her coffee in the toaster oven to warm it up. Even though I'd already done the drive 3 times, the ride back to Vegas alone was blissful.

We had dinner tonight at the Green Valley Resort. Tomorrow we're going to the Strip to walk around with DGS. Going to the Mandalay Bay to see the sharks

Sunday I'm helping DDIL pick out yarn, then teaching her how to crochet a blanket.

I'm here till Tuesday, getting as much DGS loving time as possible
