There is a family across the street who I despise....I know I have vented about them before.

For a while my DD was friends with their DD who is a year older. After one day of my DD not behaving they began to ignore us and didnt let their DD play with mine for three months. Then as quickly as they stopped, all was forgiven and they started talking to us again like nothing happened.

For whatever reason there DD has stopped playing with mine again...she and her brothers will purposely ignore my DD if she says hi to them and the brothers give my DD mean looks.

My DD was watching tv one day, the show was talking about a break up. My DD said to me " mommy remember when Kylie and I broke up? That made me so sad". I almost cried.

In her innocence, my DD has no understanding. She still refers to Kylie as her friend and still tries to talk to her.

I know I need to stay out of it and let DD handle it on her own....I cant fix things every time for her...but it makes the mommy tiger in me want to go off on her mother (my husband and I agree that it's all coming from her) and let her know what I think of her.

Can you speak with the mother and just say something like, "DD is very hurt that Kylie can't play anymore, is there something I need to know about"?

I'm with Pain, but I'd word it a little differently:
"I noticed that our girls don't play together anymore. Is there something that I should know about?"

Don't give her the knowledge that her kids' behavior is upsetting your daughter. If she's aware and doesn't care, it'll only be ego kibbles of a sort.
If she's unaware, then you can proceed from there.

I could try but the .mother is not the easiest person to talk to...after the first incident I tried talking to her and apologized and even had DD "write" an apology to Kylie. ..but it didnt work.

This is also the same woman who yelled and swore at a neighborhood kid one day from her front lawn and threatened him. ..

How old is your DD?
I think (given what you just mentioned) that I'd just keep your DD away from that nest of vipers.

Oh I forgot to mention that after the first incident she also would ignore my DD when she was DD would go to their yard to play with Kylie and her mother would be outside and pretend that she didnt see my DD standing there...seriously ? How immature are you when you ignore a 4 yr old?

My DD is 5

Shes insane. I know its silly....I am upset with how her and her children treat my DD and family...but I know its better to not even interact. ...I just feel bad for my DD that she lost a playmate. ...she always looks so sad when we are playing outside and she sees Kylie she wants to play with her.
