I will be headed to the Charlotte are for work in a couple weeks. Anybody have any ideas on some things to do in my spare time in that area. I think it's actually the Rock Hills area. I be there for most of the weekdays with evenings open to see the sites.

What kinds of things would you be interested in doing? And would you rather stay in Rock Hill or take the interstate North to Charlotte?

There's a lot to do in an area called South End- there are breweries, lots of restaurants, there's a Food Truck Friday event that's pretty popular, shopping is in a different area of South Charlotte, but closer to Rock Hill... There are lots of places to see live music, a play, art exhibits, or you could catch a baseball game. Lake Wylie is a short drive from Rock Hill, Carowinds is on Carowinds Blvd- about 10 minutes from Rock Hill. There's a place called Crowder's Mountain about 45 minutes to the west that's a really popular spot for walking, climbing (a little), and rappelling. It can be dangerous, but it's cool!

ETA: There's a man-made whitewater rapids facility...
