I'm an adult leader this week fir church young women's camp. We have about 50 12-18 year old girls. I am in a cabin with 13 12-13 year olds who I will be with throughout the days and nights all week. We have a 5 mile hike at 7 am and the giggling is contagious. The girl on the bunk above me has the wiggles.

I miss knight...and my king sized memory foam mattress....

I was thinking more along the lines of ambien aerosol room spray.

It's quiet now...but someone keeps slurping every few minutes...

That's seriously creepy. I hope whoever it is is almost finished with whatever it is.

How was the hike?

The hike was postponed repeatedly d/t thunderstorms. We finally went in the rain at 10. It was nice. I prefer the rain to full sun. It's 100% humidity here anyway. It's bad when 12-13 year olds are asking to sit down for a while and 40-50 something leaders are still walking.

We went kayaking/canoeing and sow turtles, birds, frogs, snakes, and alligators. I love my kayak but the gators and snakes make me wish I was sitting up a little higher off the water.

I could totally get behind that idea, as long as you define camping the same way I do. In my definition, there's air conditioning, luxurious bedding, and someone else cooks and cleans.

Creepy.

Any pics of the animals?

Good for you for going and giving those young girls the experience of camping....it's awesome that you give your time to do that for them!

I could so enjoy "glamping".....I love to camp, but the "tenting" is getting to be a bit much for my other half and I...we just bought a pop up tent trailer so we can have all the stuff together and just add food/clothes and go....but the look of that comfy bed in the tent was something I could get into......

How cool!!!

Hubby and I love camping too, but with him pushing hard on 50 and me heading toward 45, tent camping is a little harder on the body than it used to be.

We want to buy a small travel trailer (something just big enough for the two of us and a couple of pups).

A vote for the ambien room spray, lol.

And the 'Glamping', haha, love it!

I'm with ppga. I'd go into drama shock. The only way to bring me out of it would be PBS on a continuous loop and cocooning me in a blanket of kittens.
