So I just found out H has a secondary FB account and had been googling an app called Tinder. I decided to use that 2nd FB info and log onto Tinder and low and behold he has an acct.

A lot of people are telling me I shouldn't be worried that people just make accts and do nothing with them So far I see no activity on the acct but still.

Anyone else familiar with this app?

I just googled it and this is what I found:

in addition:
Tinder is the fun way to connect with new and interesting people around you. Swipe right to like or left to pass. If someone likes you back, itís a match! Chat with a match or snap a photo to share a Moment with all of your matches at once. Itís a new way to express yourself and share with friends.

Yeah I read that too, its totally based off a dating app from the TV show Bones.

and more:
It was almost 2 years ago that we came to the realization that even with all the networks we have at our disposal, the ways in which we meet new people were boring, outdated, and filled with barriers. We envisioned a solution that was extremely fun, natural, and would mimic our real world behaviors - and Tinder was born. Today, Tinder sees more than 850 million swipes and more than 10 million matches every single day. We're just getting started. With 2 billion matches made to date, we're now giving you a whole new way to get to know your matches..

Introducing Moments - a new way to share.
Moments are swipe-able photos you can instantly share with all of your matches at once. With Moments you can swipe through fun Moments shared by your matches and get a glimpse into each others lives. You can react by swiping right to "like" or left to "nope" a Moment, just as you would profiles, or you can take it one step further and reply with a message. Moments are the perfect excuse to say more than just "hello." Just like real life the moments we experience start to fade, which is why every shared Tinder Moment can only be seen for 24 hours.

I don't know anymore, but it sounds useless...

I looked at it and the first profile that came up was a prostitute so it worries me.

LostSamurai posted 6/16/2014 07:14 AM

Oh ok... Then I would be worry. Have you confronted him about this. How you know it is a prostitute by the way?

Tinder is huge in Australia. From what I have heard it sounds like a place where Gen Ys trawl for NSA sex. It's about hooking up - not finding relationships. A GF of mines flatmate is a mid 40s WW/MOW who is currently single and she raves about Tinder. I told her it sounds like a sleazy bar full of sleazy people and she gleefully verified that is exactly what it is.

It's a dating site that helps you meet people in proximity - it shows you how far away from you each person is and you swipe left/right as to whether or not you'd like to connect with that person. If they Yes you too then you get a notification and you chat via msg system and pics and decide if you want to meet IRL.

This is also a way of hooking up without numbers showing up on a phone bill.

Nobody who intends to remain faithful joins a dating site.

I am sorry. I am so out of these days. I make a horrible Wayward or Affair Partner. I don't know all these tools and trades but I know one thing...this world just gets sadder and sadder with all these devices/apps that free people from ACCOUNTABILITY.

@LostSamurai-I know that he profile was prostitute cause her pick has amounts of sex and BJs listed on it.

@SBB- Yeah that's about what I though, thank you.
