For me stress has always equaled hives. Just lovely. My back and chest are so itchy right now I'm trying very hard to not sit here scratch the hell out of myself. I already scratched my shoulder blade so bad that I broke blood vessels.
So... with my calling the shelter, being unemployed, interview yesterday and applying for more jobs, learning that my landlord is selling our condo and we have no where to go, my husband (who is verbally/emotionally abusive and still doing all his crap) is now talking about getting a mortgage, trying to get my car fixed so it will pass inspection and my husband isn't being all that helpful (remember, I'm unemployed and broke) now I can add itchy hives to the mix.
On the good side (if there is one) I lost 6 pounds because I have zero appetite. I pretty much only eat once a day now. So far, this morning I had a vitamin. forehead meet desk Sigh...

Oh, sweety. Breathe.
This is as good a time as any to practice relaxation techniques.
Maybe taking a long strenuous walk then a cool shower will help, too.

Thanks. I may take a walk. I've been on here a lot today trying to keep my fingers busy.

You are in the thick of it now where the stress can cause such consequences to your health. Listen to everyone here & even go beyond their advice...don't just take care of yourself...you need to pamper yourself right now. Pretend you just went thru a major surgery and other than essentials, everything right now needs to focus on your health & getting back your strength. Take whatever measures work for you except alcohol or anything not prescribed by your doctor. You actually have shown such strength..you will succeed!

I don't know if I have time for that. I'm supposed to be cleaning the condo right now because the landlord is coming over Thursday with a realtor. I don't like having a cluttered home when anyone comes over so I need to clean it, but I'm on here instead.
Don't worry, I don't turn to alcohol for anything. I don't even drink it. My vice when I'm stressed is cookies and soda. If anything I'll be a diabetic (no offense to those with diabetes, it runs in my family) by the end of all this.
