Anybody see this movie? Portrait of a marriage imploding. It was just...brutal : (

Yes! I remember not knowing much about it and watched it with my grown daughter. It was very sad.

What stuck out to me was how broken they both were when they met. They were both band aids to each others' brokeness for a time but it didn't last because it never does.

I found it incredibly sad and a very good depiction of the slow erosion that occurs when limerence wears off. It had died a quiet death long before they realised it.

The ukulele scene is beautiful but I found the rest quite painful to watch. Her emotional numbness and his alcoholic numbness were a little too close to home.

My ex and I watched this movie together when it was in the theaters. Based on the trailers we were expecting something different.

It was a very hard movie to watch and hit close to home. I ended up going to the bathroom a couple of times in the middle of it.

Brutal is the best word to describe it, which says a lot about the exceptional acting and directing.
