Who knows how to deactivate an account? This site has not turned out to be the support I thought it would be. I'm trying to move forward in my life and reconcile with my wonderful husband. To those of you whom gave me great advice and support I will take it with me. I wish everyone here may acknowledge that newbies make errors in posting and acronymns. I'm sorry if I offended anyone, I was just trying to learn the "ropes". Sad this didn't work out.

What did I miss?

Not sure deactivating is necessary. It's anonymous. You just walk away and never look back.

I for one hope you don't leave.

dana47...

We Moderators made a simple request for you to stay inside the WS and Recon forum, it's unfortunate that you took this to mean you weren't welcomed here.

I've sent you another PM, please reply to it.

*Editing because I see DS has responded... but I still wanted to offer encouragement.*

While I haven't posted to you, you have asked some good questions and received feedback from some very smart folks.

It sounds like you want to follow the path to healing... which has many bumps in the road, and (mental) detours that sometimes help, and sometimes make it more difficult. I know working through all of this is tough - so incredibly tough - and it's really easy to become discouraged in the process. I've been right where you are.

Whether you decide to walk away, or just take a breather from the site for a few days, I encourage you to keep moving forward. You deserve to be your best self.

Thinking of you and rooting for your peace and healing.

You would be using wisdom if you stayed. I think you can benefit by being here. You still think too fondly of your AP. You try to convince yourself that he's a liar and terrible person, but inside you miss the "high" you associate the affair and him with. The affair was all about you, not your AP. He was just the bottle you let the genie out of.
Keep posting. People only want you to succeed here. That can be gentle and tough love, but it's all love.

Thanks for your advice and input. It is appreciated.

We are all here working towards the same goal - health. We each have our own paths and hurdles along the way.

Do stick around. You can find support and wisdom here from other users. There have been times (especially early on) that I thought I should just leave and never come back. Often it was because I "wasn't getting the support I wanted." Turns out, I was getting exactly the support I needed, and ultimately wanted.

Until recently I stayed out of all forums but this one. Now I venture out every once in a while. AND, as things bite or sting and I can't deal I back out and come home.

Also, we can't read your mind either. If there is something you want/need and aren't getting from us, TELL us.

I want to encourage you. I read the other forums, But rarely post anywhere but here in the wayward side. My BS and I discuss other threads, but I keep those discussion between us. And I also take breaks for a few days at a time. Only you knows whats best for you. But IMO don't give up just yet. Even if you stop posting for a while, keep reading.

Wishing you the best.
