Once BH and I hiked to the top of Yosemite Falls, which is some insane vertical distance of a few thousand feet. It was serious upward trudging. BH had done it before and even without his assurances I knew the experience at the top would be amazing.
But. There were sure times when I needed to turn around and look back at where I had been, how tiny the valley floor was looking, identify trees I had passed earlier, and think "Wow, I've accomplished something just making it this far." Those little breaks help fuel my desire to make it to the top for an even more amazing view and experience.
I'm having that experience right now on your behalf. Vicariously enjoying the view of the very real and amazing progress you have made since you arrived here at SI.
Where is Hufi's slow clap pic when we need it?
