While I'm sitting here on the fence about leaving, i've realized how unfair life/marriage is. Why is it that "she" is the one who destroyed everything but if "I" decide that it's too much and divorce that more than likely "she" will get custody of the kids and "I" will have to pay 1/3 of my income in child support. Why is that? Its a double whammy. It's bad enough I have to deal with the emotional, mental stress of her affair, but if I leave I have to deal with the financial stress as well as not having my kids in my house

There's so many things unfair about this shit...

But I am really surprised how many betrayed husbands here feel like they don't have a choice about custody. Your wife isn't focused on the kids, she's having a fucking affair! Taking time away from her FAMILY for sex and ego stroking.

Do YOU have your priorities in the right place? Well then take charge and figure out how to be a single dad! Kids learn by seeing. They SEE how their parents act, so it's more important now than ever for you to SHOW them how healthy people handle themselves. Be a role model for them!

No WAY in fucking hell was I giving up custody to my ex. And the sad part is, he was too busy focused on his whore to fight for them. Thank God my kids spend most of their time with the parent that was focused on them all along..

I agree with BG.. fathers have a lot more rights than they used to, as they should. I know in the past it was just the norm that the mom had custody and the dad got a littke dinky apt somewhere and had weekend visitation. Find an attorney and get some knowledge so you know what your options are. Knowledge is power!!
