Apparently they were at a BAR playing BAR trivia.

Oh how I just LOVE when they have summer visitation with their idiot father.

NOT!

(((ruined & kids)))

I would be severely po'd. Years back my xbil and his new gf (not an ow) took my young nephew to a bar. They were too drunk to drive home. So instead of getting a cab, they walked home through a bad area.

IDK. I wouldn't get too cheesed about this. There are lots of sports bars, etc that bill themselves as restaurants, do have varying degrees of palatable food, and trivia isn't such a bad diversion.

I grew up in a bar. A neighbor shot & beer dive. I survived and thrived. DS has been in bars since he was a baby. His grandfather's and where the X worked. That was REALLY a dive, your basic bucket of blood, but only during the daytime.

You need to pick your battles carefully, otherwise life will he impossible.

You are important and you matter. Your feelings matter. Your voice matters. Your story matters. Your life matters. Always.

No, I have no plans to fight any battles about this. He wouldn't listen to me anyway. I'm just venting here.

I don't think it's appropriate for a 7 and 10 year old to be at a bar around people drinking and cursing. I know the bar they were at and the type of crowd that is in there. There are plenty of other kid friendly things they could have done.
