I can't help but think infidelity was involved.

So terribly sad.

So horrific.

It happened about 6 miles south of us. The reports coming out this morning are indicating there were marital problems...just no specifics yet.

No matter what the final report is...6 people/kids are dead

I guess our minds just go there. There was a tragic family death in my area a few months ago. A family who lived in a very wealthy neighborhood with 2 teen kids. The house was on fire and they found the family in there. They said that the family was well liked, good family. When the fire was put out and the bodies were found, they had been shot, then the house was set off with fireworks inside until it burned. They found video of the father buying the fireworks a few days before. Still to this day they don't have any answer what the reason was. Everyone had nothing but good to say about them.

Oh my goodness DS, that is close! I can understand losing it, yelling, screaming, breaking things, etc, but how people can murder their own families is just beyond my understanding. So horrible.

That is horrible and tragic. I especially don't see how anyone can do that to their very own children. How heartbreaking.

Deeply Scared posted 7/10/2014 08:31 AM

So far, they(police) are saying that two of the kids were his adopted children and the rest of the victims were family members.

After he fled the scene he was headed to his W's family's home...most likely to kill them as well but one of the surviving victims was able to tell police his plans and they intercepted him causing a stand off with him holding a gun to his head for hours.

All night it was breaking news until he finally surrendered to SWAT around 10:00pm last night.

Its all just so tragic and so un-necessary.

Horrifically tragic. Saw this on CNN this morning. I just can't get my head around how someone can do this to their own children no matter how bad they snap. Just awful.

It is absolutely horrible! He killed his ex-wife's sister, the sisters husband and four of their children. Their oldest child (15 year old daughter) survived with a gunshot wound to the head and alerted officers the suspect was headed to the ex-wife's parents home next. That is where they intercepted him and the chase began.

The Houston Chronicle has pretty good coverage of the story. Last night they identified the residents of the home and a quick look on Facebook showed the beautiful family that was so senselessly murdered. Comments from family on the fecebook page confirmed the deaths.

I will never understand people.....

Yes, this is a tragedy repeated all too often around the country. This occurred about 10 miles SE of me.

There are so many different versions on the local news it is evident no one truly knows what triggered the event.
