Tomorrow I commence with babysitting SIX nieces and nephews for five days: 14, 11, 6, 4, 3 and 6 months.

I'll need all your thoughts and good wishes!

I like kids but goodness! That's a big range! For a long time!

I have faith in you though.

DixieD posted 7/16/2014 12:27 PM

You are very brave. May the force be with you. Good luck!

Oh please tell me the lab will be around to add to the chaos. This I gotta see.

PJ, you may be a highly capable physician, but this may be beyond your skills.....

I'll send my best wishes. <<Shudder>>

Ack! You are in my thoughts and prayers

Have lots of fun and fill them up with sugar right before you send them home. You will never be asked to sit again

Jrazz posted 7/16/2014 13:13 PM

Wow! Hopefully you can recruit the 14 and 11 y/o as part of the authoritah squad!

Sending mojo.

yearsofpain25 posted 7/16/2014 13:14 PM

Wow Dr PJ. If there's anyone that can do it, it's you.

One word of advice, save all that hard liquor that everyone is sending your way for afterwards. You are going to need your wits about you.

Camp purplejacket!

nowiknow23 posted 7/16/2014 13:46 PM

I'm confident you will ALL have a blast. And hopefully, lots of naps.

Lionne posted 7/16/2014 14:51 PM

Whatever did you do to deserve this? Or the parents do to earn this? Must have been big...

Prayers started...

unfound posted 7/16/2014 15:02 PM

dr pj, dr pj.. we knew her well.

I vote for renting a bouncy house for the week. loads of fun, wears them out (minus the wee one), and can be used as a hideout when you run out of benydryl* .

*kidding! but the bottle CAN be used to jam under a door to keep them out, or in... depending on your needs

CheaterMagnet posted 7/16/2014 15:22 PM

You are a very brave woman.

Or a complete nutter!!!

purplejacket4 posted 7/16/2014 15:45 PM

It's a gift I'm giving to sis and BIL for their 20 anniversary. Sigh. I'm going up to Seattle to do this.

jrc1963 posted 7/16/2014 15:47 PM

You can do this... really!! Besides the older ones can help with the younger ones...

Just watch a few episodes of the Duggers (19 Kids and Counting) on TLC for some pointers!!

If I can herd cats (Teenagers with behavior and emotional problems) all day every day... you can do this!! Piece of cake! *maybe give them lots of cake w/mild sedatives baked in too*
