In my weight loss quest I have lost 70lbs!!!

Needless to say, I have few clothes for fall. I went out to buy some pants tonight and had a size in mind that I would love to see my buttocks in. I about squealed while in the dressing room. Not only did I get my bootie in that size, it almost was a bit big. I thought maybe the sizes have gotten bigger, so I went back into the store and picked up random pairs by different manufacturers all the same size, my size. Went back into the dressing room and tried them on. It's official. I am now a size 12!!!!

Congratulations on your healthier you! I'm glad you were able to get some pretty clothes .

I remember when my sister lost a ton of weight she kept picking up extra larges and my daughter kept telling her they were too big. She insisted she was an XL and DD grabbed the mediums for her to try on as well.

My sister tried on the mediums and started crying in the dressing room when they fit her.

DS, you are forever in my heart. Thank you for sharing your beautiful spirit with me. I will always try to live by the example you have set. I love you and miss you every day and am sorry you had to go so soon, it just doesn't seem fair.

Thanks guys!

Secret?? No secret really. I cut back on my carbs. a lot,....like a lot, a lot. Yes, I still do eat bread, but it's a whole grain bread when I do. I don't eat the processed garbage food anymore,.... well,... hardly ever. Oh, do I still eat chocolate??? ABSOLUTELY!!! I am very smart about what passes my lips though.

It's summer time, so fruits and veggies are bountiful and I eat all but squash. Never could get past that taste. But hey, I don't like one out of a whole bunch. Find something you like. Every morning now it's coffee pineapple and cottage cheese. Lunch tomatoes and cucumbers, peppers, avocado and anything else that I can find.

I do eat protein. Good protein and drink plenty of water.

I've become more active, but am not obsessive about being so.

One thing, I didn't expect it to just fall off of my body. It took me awhile to put it on my body, so it's taken awhile to come back off.

Shopping has been fun,....especially the the intimate things.

I'm looking at maybe 20 more, but will assess how I feel and look when I start getting close to it.

ALSO,....My doctor is well aware of my loss and has had to adjust a certain medication I will have to take for the rest of my life. You MUST be very watchful about that, otherwise you can get into BIG trouble.

Greatest feeling in the world, isn't it?!

I broke down and cried hysterically in the dressing room when I found I was able to wear an 18 instead of 28.

When I slid into an 8 for the first time, I celebrated with a shopping spree for a ton of cute new clothes! Unfortunately, I can't wear some of them now since most easily maintain a weight range in the 10/12 size category - but the hunt for those clothes was fun!

Congratulations!

I am down 60 from being carb conscious myself which started when trying to keep my diabetes under better control. I'm not a size 12 yet but close (I'm hoping by the end of next month). It is amazing how the weight just melts off isn't it?

Divorced since 2007 from WH who has married OW.
