Does anyone notice that sometimes things are funnier the more tired we are?
My kids have finally left for a week with Perv and I'm so tired I can't fathom cooking or picking something to prepare.
So I gave in and dialed for a pizza, just for me .
I'm battling a bit of sorrow at their absence, with a mix of chronic exhaustion, but the pizza phone answerer "dude", as DD11 calls them, helped tons... when I asked for 1/2 this and 1/2 that, he said, "does it matter which side it's on?" at first I thought he was serious and realized it couldn't be ...
I find I am a hair wittier the more tired I am so answered, "meat in the middle, please!" and he laughed and hung up.
Sometimes all we can do is smile or laugh because there's nothing else we can do.
