i left my cheating (livei-in) boyfriend over a year ago
i remember when i came here and found a lot of understanding and support
and a lot of misery and pain that i could relate to

i just wanted to come back after all this time and say IT GETS BETTER

the best thing I did was leave him --- sooo glad I did not let him me anymore

i know the pain
the feeling of betrayal
the anger
the bitter tears
the horrible, horrible crying --- with the deep heaving and unbelievable torment of why, why, why?

you're allowed to go through it but be strong
you know this isn't good for you
you will get through it
you will be happy again

the best thing i did since i left him was cutting off all contact --- and even then he kept texting me for 6 more months.... but since i never answered thankfully he gave up

i'm happy now
and can barely believe i grieved so badly over him
they are not worth it

just wanted to share hope

and that advice (cut off contact!)

hugs and love to all ye brokenhearted

you deserve to be happy!

I'm so glad that you're doing much better and Thank You for coming back to share that with everyone here!

Imagine a ship trying to set sail while towing an anchor. Cutting free is not a gift to the anchor. You must release that burden, not because the anchor is worthy, but because the ship is.

Of course it gets better - you are correct.

Life is too short to waste on lying, selfish assholes.

I'm in your club and happy to be a member.

Be careful - that 'knight in shining armor' may very well be nothing more than an assclown wrapped in tin foil.
