So I've done Latin and "sexy" dances just about to death. I want to learn something fun and energetic and was thinking swing/lindyhop anyone ever done these lessons before? Is it fun?

Lindy can be lots of fun as well as swing. My favorite is the West Coast swing. Lindy and East coast are very popular too.

If you like the latin and "sexy" I think that you'll love the swing. You might even look for places that will teach some of the swing aerials if you want to get crazy.

We're still pretty new at ballroom dancing, but swing is our favorite. It seems to have more variations than foxtrot, so it's more interesting to both of us, and even simple stuff can get our heart rates up.

Salsa & Mambo are too damned fast for me, so when that's the music, I lose all sense of sexiness.

Lol thanks guys. I grew up on salsa and merengue. I learned Bachata as I got older. Since then I've also learned tango and belly dancing.

I'm excited and looking for extreme beginner courses lol. I will also be going solo so hopefully I make some dance friends.

Another vote here for West Coast swing! Very fun but also enough of a challenge to stay interesting. And it can be sexy as hell when done right.

Unagie,

I've started with free WCS classes with a meet up group. I'm having a blast! I go solo, take the group lessons before the dance parties so I'm at least meeting people in the rotation. If I'm having fun, I stay. If I'm not, at least I learned something new. So far I haven't left, I've met some really nice people who happen to be fun to dance with.

Enjoy!!!
