I think I am having buyers guilt now! I had it after I got my tattoo, but love my tattoo now. Anyone else have their nose pierced? How do you feel about it? I just wonder if I am too old to pull this off....I am seriously considering taking it out now...:/

I have tattoos (4) but never considered getting my nose pierced. However, with that said, I think they are cute for women in their 20's and 30's. I especially like them when the piercing is very small. Like one of those very tiny diamonds. I'm not a fan of those with the rings. :)
I was drunk once on St. Patrick's Day a few years ago and I won a piercing. I decided to get it on the top of my ear lobe. Lasted about a month. Had trouble sleeping on it and I kept catching it on my hairbrush. But I did love it. Even after I sobered up.
I say give yourself more time to adjust. If you still feel like you shouldn't have gotten it a month from now, then (gently) yank that sucka out!

You aren't too old, I had one up until last year when I had to remove it for something, and then it closed up. I want to go get it done again, because I liked it a lot.
One thing I noticed though, is I noticed it far more than anyone else did. My 10 yr old asked me when I got it done...when he was 3. My brother was debating with his fiancé about her getting her nose pierced. He had a new unflattering things to say about the idea, and she said "What? So you think of Weatherly like that?" and he said no, I didn't have my noise pierced. She called me so I could confirm, I'd had it for years.
I am assuming you just have a little stud, if that's it, wait awhile, see if you decide you like it later. If you still don't like it, it heals up fast. And, if you do like it, then we can be too old to have nose rings, together.

Well I am 46 and I have had my nose pierced for the last 7 years... But I guess I'm "too old" for it. Now! Oops better take it out.
Oh yeah... And I had different colored rings in there all thru the summer. I guess that was a mistake too. *sigh* I guess I'll never get the hang of doing what society thinks is "right" and "proper" and "fashionable".
I also have an industrial ( that's the bar that goes across the cartilage at the top of the ear). I have three holes in each ear lobe and a hoop thru the cartilage in my right ear.
Oh yeah, I'm probably too old for my tongue piercing and way too old for my septum piercing.
What I am trying to say is that if you like it, you feel comfortable with it and you want to do it. Don't let age stop you!!!
In answer to your original question... I have my nose pierced and I love it.

I'm 31, and I was just telling a friend that I am considering getting a septum piercing (the skin between the nostrils).
Age is just a number, there are no age limits on body modifications, and life is WAY too short to worry about what anyone else thinks about your nose/piercing/body/etc.

Funny I should read this: Just last night - don't ask me why - I had a dream where I woke up on the tattoo artists table with an elaborate, blue-ish tattoo of swirly, new-age symbols all over my left shoulder, spilling onto my back and breast area. I was so mortified that it woke me up.
It was the most excitement I'd had in quite a while (that's if we aren't counting DDay).
Just thought I'd share...lol.

Do it... it was the fastest healing piercing I ever got... Even faster than my earlobes.

I agree with everyone else-if you like it, keep it! I've always had piercings on and off over the years; redoing my nose is a want for me too. I got a vertical labret done (a small bar through the middle of my bottom lip) last year as part of reclaiming myself after dday and have no regrets! :-)

I say keep it until the newness/awkwardness wears off and if you like it than keep it.
I don't think you're too old for a nose piercing.

OUCHIE! It hurts so much when I bit my tongue, I just can't fathom the piercing of it.
And doesn't a nose piercing feel like you constantly have to blow your nose?
I really am clueless about all this - I have one hole in each ear and that's it - that was painful enough 40 years ago

Thank you everyone!
Can I be honest? A lot lf 2x4's...
Still fresh from dday (2 months out)...I guess my buyers guilt comes from what xh will say. He always hated tattoos and piercings on women so I know he will have a smart ass remake. Or maybe say I'm not a good role model to dd bc is my piercing and tattoo (it's a tattoo of dd's name). I shouldn't care what he thinks...yet I still do. Even my father called me yelling when he found out LOL!!! I cut my dad off though and told him "I am 32 years old. I made a decision about my body that I am comfortable with and I shouldn't be made to feel bad about it". He got silent then said "fair enough" and hung up. My dad is NPD BAD! So I was very surprised that he backed down!
My stud is small. I still think it's too big. Once it heals, I'm getting a smaller stud. I really like the look of just a tiny little, almost too small to see, stud. So in 6-8 weeks I'll be changing it out.
I wish I knew how to post a picture of it.

Actually... because it's a muscle, it really didn't hurt that much and healed very quickly.
The cartilage piercings are much more painful and take up to 2 years to heal all the way.
Numb... good for you standing your ground.
I wouldn't worry about what your Ex-asshat has to say... he's an EX now for good reason.

I'm 45 and have had my nose pierced for a little over 10 years. I love it! However, I have to say that for me - it hurt like HELL when I had it done but I'm a pain wuss.
I also have the top part of my ear pierced - that piercing has caused me more problems than my nose.
Heck I forget that my nose is pierced most of the time.

If you like it , keep it. Piercings have nothing to do with what kind of parent you are. I am 48, I have tattoos, my tongue , belly button, and nipples pierced.I like them all and that is all that matters to me.

My mom is 58 and has her nose pierced with a small diamond stud, her belly pierced with all kinds of dangling sexy charms, she has more holes in her ears than Swiss cheese and went from long brunette hair to a platinum blonde spikey pixie cut. (Mind you, it wasn't all at once so midlife crisis can't be blamed.) She and I are discussing getting mother/daughter tattoos because she always wears the fake ones for years and is getting the itch.
