DDay - April 2008
I'm not here too much these days but do still read and think about you all and the support I received from this wonderful site, which saved my sanity. My own story is consigned to history, where it should be and that's very appropriate because history is my love.
It has been a long haul but my new life is more than I could ever have imagined or hoped for. The special people I 'met' here are with me still and one has become a very dear and close friend - though we are in different countries, our texts, emails and visits have supported a real friendship that was born out of pain and loss. We have both moved on to better things though our respective journeys were painful and traumatic, but we shared, survived and have thrived.
Last weekend was the launch of my book (a personal subject and an historical account of a time and place in my life). The people I have chosen to include in my world since that awful time are the best and the most genuine and sincerest of people. I wonder why I ever put up with the crap before!
So the book is launched and being well received. I'm heading back to central Europe for the third time next month - and taking it back there to where the story began - in 1614.
Thank you S.I. Keep going folks and when the going gets tough - the tough start writing. I've been asked to do a follow up
Me - 58 and doing great, alone.
Don't put the key to your happiness in someone else's pocket!
