You guys are so impressive!
Finished the 30 day workout on EA Sports Active. Dropped about 10 pounds during that phase. I've started another 30 day workout and notched the impact up from low to moderate. BW(her)- 45, FWH (me) 47

Ok guys...I need to jump on the bandwagon. I lost about 10 lbs in the first two weeks of last month, and I have since gained back about 7. Ugh, the damn up and down!
I know I need to do the basics. Healthy eating and Exercise. Problem is, I have a hard time keeping motivated. I haven't hit the gym in months and months. And I know I won't get there tonight either. I still have a lot of packing and cleaning to do.
I've eaten pretty healthy thought:
Breakfast: cup of oatmeal
Lunch: small chili and a side salad
And I have my apple here to have as a snack in about 3 hrs.
Does that sound ok or should I be focusing on different types of food? Is there a sample food plan for a day I should look at?

I am so glad to see this here! I decided last Labor Day it was time to shed the pounds - was tired of the way I was feeling and I wanted to feel sexy and be with my H. Three months and 18 pounds later, DDay. I was shocked, but I was already committed to weight watchers and had just started to exercise so I made myself continue through the two most horribly painful months of my life. Exercise was the only time I felt good and knew I was doing something good for me. Today we are trying R, I'm down 37 pounds and have been struggling to lose the last 10 but have to say I'm looking better than I've looked in 15 years. BS Me 60

Hi all,
It's been since Feb 20th since I checked in. The last few months have been horrible as far as pretend R goes, or doesn't go for me.
I've maintained a steady weight during that time. I'm at 161. I've been putting on muscle, especially in my arms, shoulders, and back (we've been moving).
The last three days I've been craving chocolate, and eating a lot of it. It's time for me to knock off the old bad habits and get back to the good new ones.
Nice to see so many of you doing well! Keep up the good work!

Going to post a thread from a primarily law weblog but it is a interesting discussion of the diet-health-exercise link. Thought provoking.

I'm still stuck at the same weight, but I am still changing shape and looking more toned. Also feeling healthier.
I have bought a book about the GI diet this week and I am going to try to follow that and see if that helps.
It should help with controlling blood sugar which is one area I am concerned about given my family history.

I need help with a playlist to work out to. Any suggestions? (And songs that aren't about infidelity would be greatly appreciated) Posts: 557 | Registered: Jun 2009 |

Do you mean to listen to or to dance/move to?

I like to listen to upbeat songs when I am working out I know disco is a bit corny but a lot of it is upbeat The life of every man is a diary in which he means to write one story, and writes another; and his humblest hour is when he compares the volume as it is with what he vowed to make it.

Exactly the type of songs I'm looking for! But, which ones? I need to make up a playlist fast and need help thinking of songs. You can pm me if you are too embarrassed to post the songs you like to listen to. Posts: 557 | Registered: Jun 2009 |

LOl!
Not embarrassed. Some Abba, Bee Gees that type of stuff, also some show tunes (Hairspray is quite good)

Google Medifast. It is a pre-packaged, portion control meal plan that you purchase. Amazing results.

Just did a stationary bike ride, I pedalled for 1 hour, burned 500 calories and "rode" just over 24 miles - is that good?
I ahven't used the bike much as I didn't like it at first but have been doing it for a few weeks and am getting more used to it.
