Well done. I am nearing the end of my weight loss goal at 92 pounds down.
In my experience, where you are going to get the most notice is from those who havent seen you for a while and at this stage most of the noticeable loss will be upper body. For me, it was in the face.
You lose fat much like an ice sculpture will melt. The basic form will remain the same, the overall size will just reduce. So places with less fat will see the biggest difference. At least in the initial stages.
Still, where I got the biggest lift was when clothes that were either snug or just right became too big.
Just bought some pants with a size 32 waist and now they are a little too big. I haven't worn size 32s in over 15 years. That was a huge lift. Me: FBS/WS 41

Has anyone tried the Acai Berry combined with the Natura Cleanse for weight loss?
http://readhealthnews.com/5722
I plan on ordering both to try to lose about 10-15 pounds. My weight is within the high norm for my height; however, my bmi is that of an obese person. Doctors want me to lose weight.
I am exercising no less than 3 days a week for about an hour and a half per session.
Recently found out that I am allergic to nuts which I used to enjoy on a regular basis. Nuts satisfied my taste for something crunchy and encouraged me to drink more water. Now, I have no idea what healthy snacks, protein, that I can snack on through out the day to keep me away from cheez its and pop. "To change and to improve are two different things."

Don’t buy that garbage. Acai in its natural form is an excellent source of anti-oxidants, but there are more traditional sources with just as much or more. Outside of that it is not a magical weight loss food. Nor are supplements the answer.
You can lose some weight on cleanses, but it is primarily water weight and they teach you absolutely nothing about finding healthy eating patterns that are required for permanent weight loss.
Any permanent weight loss must be the result of a change in lifestyle. Eat 5-6 small meals a day rather than 3 large and don’t skip breakfast. Don’t skip any meals for that fact. Focus meals around proteins. If eating carbs, stick to complex sources like whole grains. Drink lots of water and take a multivitamin, that includes B complex.
Exercise is good, and it is key to overall health, but is not necessarily key to weigh loss. For example. I run for 30min. Which is about 200 calories. One cream cheese with a bagel and what I just burned is all gone. Yes, exercise will help maintain a calorie deficit and help increase metabolism for a short time, but it needs to be coupled with an already calorie reduced diet.
And for your sanity.. you do not need to be “good” all the time. Spoil yourself every once in a while.
As My doc say. “All foods are possible, it’s a matter of quantity and frequency”

Okay, Im back. Asking for help. But the natural way.
Im going to call the dietician who gave me her card a few months ago, but in the meantime, this is my goal....
http://www.getting-started-with-healthy-eating.com/breaking-sugar-addiction.html
Read up more on this site. I found it bc I wanted to find out what are night shade veggies. wh has arthritis in his shoulder and I swell up in the legs and wrists. So, I felt this would be beneficial. I also am a sugaraholic.
Goal is to eat clean. No sugars unless fruit based. Like adding bananas or applesauce or other fruits to sweeten it. I learned microwaving blueberries with a little water makes an awesome syrup for waffles (but have to ixnay the waffles as they are processed).
I read milk (my fav drink) triggers sugar addiction so have to switch to just unsweetened almond milk and keep to water with fresh squeezed lime (I have a hand held squeezer I can take to work with me ). If anyone has any advise, Im all ears.
p.s. you probably know this by now, but put in that Im also hypothyroid and things like bread, potatoes etc affect me the same as sugar does.

The true, natural way is to consume (eat - drink) less that you burn, drinks lots of water, permanent lifestyle changes and above all else, patience.

Am in the UK and started Weightwatchers online a week ago. This week they have changed their plan to "ProPoints". Is anybody else on this? Could do with a diet buddy. I need to lose approx 5 stone (70lb)!!! Inside me is a skinny person screaming to get out. I can usually shut the bitch up with cream cakes! I was doing the P90X modified of course. It works great. Not related to exercise I had to have shoulder surgery. I now can't do P90X. Does anyone know of any other workout programs. I want a good workout but it has to be more gentle. I saw one called slim in 6.

I followed the South Beach diet. It goes in stages. The food was really good. Just a lot of prep time. I was a soda addict. I didn't follow it exactly modified as I do everything. The results were very good. I stopped craving soda and sweets. Lost 14 lbs. When I did drink a soda it really didn't taste the same. The first 14 days are the hardest. I only made it to 10 as I felt like my blood sugars were going too low. I wanted to try something to help me eat healthy it really did that. The receipes were really good my Husband enjoyed the food as well. R'd Posts: 337 | Registered: Jul 2007 |

Does anyone know about Stevia, it is a natural sweetener. I can't use artifical sweetners I get migranes. This doesn't effect me. Has anyone else tried it? R'd Posts: 337 | Registered: Jul 2007 |

Bueller here.
So, checking in. I did finally make my goal weight of 153. After the flu. I was dehydrated. But I seriously saw that on the scale.
Since then, I've put back 13 pounds. Which means, I've lost 223-166=57 Fifty seven! pounds.
I have set a new target weight of 137. And i've started recording my food and exercise again.
So, I have 166-137=29 pounds to go. If I lose one pound a week, it will take me 30 weeks. If I lose 1/2 pound a week, it will take me 60 weeks.
I'm pretty sure I can do this. No, I know I can do this
After all, I did it before. I just need to persevere and not quit.

Lifesabeach - You might want to try some of "Chalene's" workout videos. They are made by beachbody like P90X but a little gentler -- she's got some tough ones though so don't think just cuz she's not hard core like P90X and insanity that you won't get a workout.
Also, stevia/truvia are suppose to be ok as an alternative to sugars. It is not an artificial sweetner. It has a little different taste than sugar (I've used it in tea) but it is a pretty good alternative. Posts: 1361 | Registered: Sep 2006 |

I use Stevia and it works pretty well. It is definitely expensive but worth it, imo
I am down 20lbs since October. I plan to keep going
