Felt better after 40 minutes of Zumba. And by better I mean barely able to move.

Good Job, Jessica.
Starting over sucks, but what's the alternative?

By the way, I got this too, last month:

Well, I got the pregnant comment again today

That really hurts.

-------------------
My progress:

Having a kind of difficult time lately: my weight went down a total of 5lbs, then went back up a pound. Not sure why, I didnt change my diet or exercise at all.

I'm vowing not to weigh myself until Monday, officially the end of week 1.

Hoping to at least keep off the first 4!

Running sucks, I hate it. I run 4mph until I cant anymore, then walk 3mph for the remainder of my 20 mins.
Karate class last night we did 5 mins jumprope, ran 1/2 mile, did 50 situps then tried to do 50 pushups. I did 23 before I stopped. I need to get to 50.So mad at myself. I only have 8 weeks before my pretest!

Arg, tell me to stop weighing myself every day!

Once a week, once a week.

BR, Stop weighing yourself everyday!!!

I do the same thing. And see the same weight fluctuations because of it. Easier to see the forest than the trees. Take a look over time to see true progress. Hell, sometimes I move my scale to a different part of the bathroom and get a different result - must be the way the floor tips or something. But the jeans don't lie unfortunately. Unless they've just come out of the dryer. Then, well, they make me run off to Zumba!!

I do the same thing too. I'll actually do it more than once a day...I do it once in the morning and once at night. I actually stopped doing this since Friday because it's just terrible for you. So whenever I get the urge to, I txt my friend and she'll tell me: STOP! So I'm limiting myself to once a week.

I've been working out hard, training in kickboxing with my friend/trainer. Hitting the gym and doing sauna/steamroom time. Trying to eat the best possible way...but weekends are rough.

Back on track tomorrow. Good luck everyone! And wish me luck too!

ETA: I'm down 5 lbs. 25 more to go!

I've only done one detox before...the Martha's Vineyard detox, which consists of nothing but fresh veggie juices, soups and some supplements. I did it for 21 days and lost 20 lbs...and I never felt better than I did when I was on it. Looking to try it again sometime this year. Although the program is "21 lbs in 21 days", they also provide the option of doing a 2 or 7 day detox, which they actually recommend doing a couple times a year. PM me if you want more info...or you can google "Martha's Vineyard Detox Diet."

Checking in... we didn't all fall off the wagon, did we?
I was wondering the same thing. Where is everyone?!?

I haven't fallen off...still going strong. Waiting until Friday to weigh myself, since I stopped obsessively weighing myself every morning and night. I can tell I've gone down just by looking at my body...and two or three people at my gym have commented that I've lost some weight.

I tried on the bridesmaid dress again Monday night...still doesn't zip past the boobs...but it zipped up a little higher than it did last time.

Still continuing my healthy eating and lots of time at the gym and training in kickboxing with my friend. How's everyone else doing?

I lost most of my weight on the S&S diet...stress and starvation. Not the best approach to weight loss. During the early days and weeks of d-day, everyone wanted to know the secret to my diet success. Well, 8 months later and I have to say that after dropping 35+ pounds I feel better. I just don't eat as much as I use to. I don't look for all the snacks anymore. Could use some motivation to get "moving" and go to the gym.

Well, we had a weigh-in for a coworker Biggest Loser contest. We all put $$ in the pot a few months ago & the person w/biggest %weightloss wins. Well, I didn't even come close. One coworker was the same weight as me (within ounces)...she won & another lady came 2nd. 1st prize was 75% of pot, 2nd was 25%. The winner got something like >$220! A bit bummed about it, but not that I thought I'd win. One coworker has really shed the lbs & I was disappointed for her, as her weight loss was great, yet due to the %lost being the requirement for winning, she didn't even come in 2nd. If you start out heavier, you have to shed many more lbs for a greater %lost #.

Well, not off the wagon though. I'm still setting my goal for loss down to 165 by my birthday in May.

I started Nutrisystem this week and got back into my workout routine too!

Alrighty then, I got on the scale and took some measurements this morning. It's time to get a bit more serious about this than I have been this past month. I'm supposed to go with my SO in April to some big work event he's got at a resort here in Texas. I want to be able to rock my LBD, never mind that it could very easily be bathing suit weather then.

So, I've made room to move my elliptical machine back into the house from the garage, and I've got a Jillian Michaels pilates dvd that'll probably kick my ass too. Which is exactly what I need.

My goal is a minimum of 10 lbs lost by the beginning of April, but I really want to tone up, lose the flab and get some muscle. I can do this. Right?

are there any free diet programs anyone knows of that really work?

I don't know of any free "programs", but there are many tools online that you can use to help you stay on track and reach your goals. I use dailyplate.com to track my food intake and calculate the calories/carbs/fat/protein, plus you can include your work out and it can calculate calories burned. Granted, it won't be specific but it gives you a general idea. Start with the basics...a balanced diet with plenty of green veggies, low carb (choosing "good" carbs), lots of water, lean protein, fruits, etc. And incorporating exercise in to your routine. Even if you simply start off with walking 20 or 30 minutes a day and build up from there. Good luck!

Congrats Jessica! Keep it up.

I can do this. Right?
You sure can! Determination and will power is all you need.

I'm down 8 lbs in total 1089345789 more to go. It's a work in progress.

How's everyone else doing?!?

Unlike alot of you who lost weight when you found about about the affairs, I gained it. I am an emotional eater and when I get upset, I head for the kitchen.

I am currently in weight watchers, and I am listed as morbidly obese. About 100 lbs overweight. My problems are these..at age 17 I was in a care accident due to a drunk driver, and ended up with a spinal fracture. So I am unable to do certain exercises. I have two children, and gained weight but didn't lose it. Then, I ended up having a hysterectomy last year which has slowed everything down and helped increase my weight by about 40 lbs.

I am in weight watchers, and back in college after losing my job that I had for 17 years. I am going for Nursing and have to take a gym class. So I signed up for Intro. to personal fitness. I had to join a gym as well. No matter what, I am at a standstill. The first week I lost 8.6 lbs. The second and third I lost 3lbs. So I hit my 5% weight loss in three weeks. But now I gain, then lose...It doesn't help with my self esteem, know my husband was having an EA with a co-worker who was also sending him pics of her cleavage, butt..etc. Anyone have any suggestions? I need help.

You can do it. You just have to WANT it bad enough to do the things you know you should and keep convincing yourself over and over that it's gonna be worth it to fit into those smaller jeans.

Status update on BR:
Two weeks today, lost a total of 8.8lbs bringing me down to 146.8.

Ramping up my exercise this week so I can get my BB in Karate, not because I am not losing. Should help, though.

I was running this morning and we have this mirrored wall in the room with the treadmill....starting to actually like what I see.

And I fit into my old greenish canvas pants that I love.

Hi shortstuff! I'm sorry to hear about your struggles. I understand how frustrating it can be. Have you tried switching up your workout routine? Switching up your diet might also work to give your metabolism a little boost. I find that when my body gets used to a routine (same foods, same workout), I hit a plateau and that damn scale doesn't budge.

Awesome job BR! You rock! I haven't seen much of a difference on my scale now, but I definitely see a difference in my body. Things are "shifting" in the right direction. I'm training in kickboxing and Muay Thai, which I know is also helping me build muscle. I'm feeling great!

Damn stress still doesn't zip, but I have 26 more days to go.
