Well Jessica, I think it's so damn awesome that you're trying to fit it in when you can. You must have your hands full with the little ones and doing this one little extra thing for yourself (although it is a pain in the ass so early) is wonderful. Keep at it girl!

Good for you Jessica! That's what I call strength.

Jessy- My 1000 calories varies day to day. I do have a general outline to my diet, though. It consists of 6 mini meals, plus cut out white flour and sugar completely. I haven't felt this alive since Dday.

Thanks for keeping this thread alive. It keeps me going.

Well, tiny one is not feeling well, he threw up at school and is running a fever, so the nurse called me to come get him. Poor guy is feeling puny and is snuggled on the couch watching movies. So looks like I can still get my workout in today, after all. When he goes to sleep I can get back on schedule, so at least that is one good thing.

Poor little thing. I hope he feels better. Those are the kind of little stressors that make me grab a piece of chocolate.

He stayed awake for two movies and is now playing wii. So much for sneaking in exercise while he slept. At least I caught up on laundry, that's something. I will definitely do zumba in the morning though, especially with only one kid to get ready for school tomorrow instead of two.

Hey- I do zumba too! (Although, who doesn't today?) I have a class I can attend tonight, but I am too tired after a day of teaching. I hope it won't affect me too much that I am skipping exercise as I was really serious on my diet today.

Well Jessica, laundry is a form of exercise! According to livestrong.com, "Doing the laundry and folding the clothes is another one of those often-thankless chores that just has to get done... But on the upside, it happens to burn some calories while you do it!". You can burn an average of 150 calories. Did you get to do your Zumba this morning?

How's your day going choco?

I got to the gym for about 45 minutes yesterday...just did 20 minutes on the stairmaster and then 25 minutes of stretching and sauna to warm up for my kickboxing training. I did 1.5 hours of training. I have my stuff in my car to head back to the gym after work today for a Martial Fusion class and I'm hoping I make it since I sort of pulled something in my knee last night while practicing round kicks on the bag. We'll see!

Breakfast today: 3 egg whites with tomatoes, green peppers and onions.

Morning snack: 1/2 grapefruit (and I also snuck in a square of dark chocolate in there)

Lunch: from Whole Foods... 1/2 grilled chicken whole wheat wrap with lettuce, tomato, cucumber, carrots, swiss cheese and honey mustard (left over from yesterday's lunch). Nom nom nom.

Have a great healthy and fit day guys!

I actually didn't get to do zumba yet today, tiny one was awake when I went in to get the older boy up and ready for school at seven. I was expecting him to sleep in today. I did manage to do a few crunches and pushups today and I will try to get him up in my room with a movie later and try to get the zumba dvd on this afternoon. His fever is broken at this moment so we are going to go to walmart to restock his motrin and get him a sick-day treat and also pick up his gift for his friend's bday party on saturday. Hopefully after that I can work it in. My diet is going well though, and that is a big battle for me. My biggest weakness is that somehow I have convinced myself that days home sick =ordering pizza, so that is a struggle. I really have to get rid of that thinking. You are doing great, Jessy! You are going to be even more fabulous for the wedding.

I'm not on here a whole lot, but I wanted to check in. Weight is down to 131/132 right now (and I'm PMSing so I think that's good). My highest at one point got to like 140. I WANT to be 120-123.

I can't go to the gym as much as I'd like, but I found a way to compensate. I have a couple videos that I like, but better than that - ON DEMAND. They have a whole list of different stuff, and it lets you have a lot of variety and work different muscles.

The other day I did two cardio workouts, then an ab one. Oddly enough it was my LEGS that were killing me - and I've been exercising regularly. I worked some muscles I didn't know I had (the horseback riding ones - between thigh and hamstring), and I couldn't walk right for like three days!

I have Bunt tonight, so I will take 30-40 mins and do some more ON DEMAND. I love it!

Hi everyone! My diet is going pretty well, although we had a really tough MC session today. When the cheating my H has done comes up to bite me (yet) again, I have my mind believe that I deserve/need chocolate. I am working actively to reboot my brain into thinking differently. I will be doing zumba class tonight, (I hope) and maybe sneak another 1/2 hour on the elliptical.

You seem to be doing great everyone so stay well.

Wishing us all lots of weight loss! (And no more WS's!)

Unfortunately it's been a rough day. I needed to order pizza for the kids as I was in no way capable of making dinner. Of course I cheated on a half a slice. Hopefully I'll still make the gym. I need to learn how to not let my guard down even when things are going badly.

Hey everyone!

I typically lose all will to diet around the weekend. So yesterday was a pretty bad food situation, but I am back on the wagon today. I hit the gym for a fabulous cardio sculpt class plus 15 minutes on the elliptical. Tomorrow morning is weigh in and I hope to be down five pounds. How are the rest of you doing?

Ugh, me too. That is almost guaranteed to be a cheat day for me. I am doing better this weekend, though. Cheated a teeny bit with pizza at the kids' friend's bday party last night, but still an improvement over normal weekends for me, so I'm not sweating it. I feel great!

Hi all, I belong in this group and am late coming in.

I have been on my new eating plan for exactly one week now. Big whoop!

My name is wantmore and I'm a home-baked-anything-a-holic. I REALLLY need to stay away from the King Arthur flour blog. Really.

So, I went looking for a food diary for my smartphone (droid) and found Calorie Counter from fatsecret.com. This has been wonderful, for the most part. I can update my food or exercise diary from my phone or online. Online gives me better control of the portions I can enter.

The support there is ok I guess but the site is confusing with groups and forums and challenges and journal entries all overlapping but not connected. Yikes!

Anyway I need to lose about 40 pounds. It was seeing a picture of me sitting on a bench from the back that really sent me over the edge.

I'm calorie counting, trying to stay in the 1400 to 1500 range. One week in, so far so good.

Hi Wantmore.

It seems we would make good diet buddies. I am also exactly a week in and doing well. I need to lose at least 35 pounds but 40 would be great. I think I am getting a droid phone for my anniversary which is coming up. I hope I am because I think it'll be a good tool for my dieting. Keep coming here to post, it's really helping me keep on track. The more posts here the better I am, as every time I check in here it reminds me of what I need to do to keep myself going strong. Thanks you all.

Ok, so Sunday I went all out...I had a very fancy date and I couldn't resist. I don't feel a bit guilty either, because I have been working my ass off! So yesterday it was "get back on track" time. Unfortunately, I haven't made it to the gym since Saturday. Yesterday I had an appointment after work, today I have class and then a date. So tomorrow it is!

How is everyone else doing?

Hi yall,

I've been working on losing weight for about 6 months and hove dropped about 30 lbs so far. First just adding routine exercise via P90x and more recently by running and calorie counting.

I would really recommend myfitnesspal.com there's an app for android and Iphones that make it reallly easy to keep track of your food calories and exercise calories burned. Online there is tremendous support and graet forums. everyone there is so supportive, just like this site.

really check them out. I've continued to lose weight and am looking to hit 195 or about 13 more lbs. I never realized how bad i ate until i started putting it into the calorie counter. It's changed my outlook on food and eating right.

Hello my fellow weight losers!

I have been doing pretty well. I lost 4 lbs in my first week and am doing pretty well in my second week. Exercise has been tough as I am having a very busy week. I hope to hit tomorrow's zumba class. Good luck all of you and come back here to check in.

I just spent a day and a half in the hospital. When you go in to the ER with chest discomfort/pain and shortness of breath they keep you a while. They couldn't figure out what the cause might have been, so here I am where I started.

Oh, and I ate the hospital food, including the jello deserts. Now, I don't want to go back to regular dieting.

Now I have to go get a stress test. Can it get any funner?
