Positive post for those of you who might be struggling after a week of knuckling down and trying to make new habits:

I just weighed myself. New low weight, again, after 2 days. Today it's 166. I have been on a plateau where my weight was basically bouncing around between 175 and 169 for ELEVEN weeks.

People, this is after I had put about a year into losing 50 pounds - roughly a pound a week on average.

I stopped losing weight. Stuck. Not like I had stopped trying. Not like I had started binging. But my body didn't want to give it up. I would drop a few pounds and then they'd come right back.

Maybe the plateau was because I had a meltdown after I discovered false R and started snacking for comfort. I don't know. This last week has been horrible as limbo has now been joined with the start of a 2 month separation that I DO NOT WANT.

Whatever the reasons behind it all, I'm looking at a tiny bit of good news as my body sheds another couple pounds.

13 pounds to goal. I'm over 80% of the way to my target weight.

When I get another 4 pounds off I'm going to order my new bike. It should take a couple months to get here.

Keep at it and you will get there too!

I need to lose 10 lbs. I'm currently at 141...I need (want) to be 130-131.

I've been doing the whole eating healthy thing, staying away from junk. Not much in the way of exercise because it's been cooooold here (well, cold for Miami) so my ass (along with H) have been too lazy to get to the gym. And I can't exercise at home...too boring.

I know I'm pushing it, but I'd like to loose these lbs by January 23rd...or at least 6 lbs by then...because we're going on vacation and I know I will be eating like a cow!

I'm sorry you're having a hard time(((((kk))))). You're doing great though!

ETA: WH and I did the Quick Weight Loss systems diet. He lost a total of 60 lbs! I lost 25. Since Dday1, he's gained back 40 lbs...I lost more then gained once we started "R". It really does work! You just have to maintain healthy eating habits once you reach your goal weight.

I had oatmeal for breakfast too

Lunch? Not so sure yet. We have a birthday in the office so we usually do lunch together. I'll try to be good!

Don't forget to have some protein with that oatmeal! Powdered protein (shakes) or egg whites, something that will help keep you full longer!

I started a week ago today and when I weighed myself this morning, I had lost four pounds. (Admittedly I had put on a ton over Christmas but still....)

I know Tuesday is officially weigh-in day, but I'm so thrilled that I just had to post! For an oldie like me, that's a great start. Thank you to everyone here for motivating me to do it (especially the exercise bit )

i to am down a couple more lbs ... was 170 for the longest time the famous plateau ... now I am 168 ... yay me ...

yay all of you ... I so believe in all of us ... we can do this ... look at the horrible thing we have already survived and how far we have come ...

this weight is the last thing to gid rid of ... I gained this all with my WH so by loosing it I am loosing him also ... every pound gone is a pound closer to me being free of him completely, and back to being just me ...

I am fiercely independent and I won’t apologize for it. I'd rather be single than settled.

I like this thread/topic:

I'm sort of plateau-ing right now (the evil 170), too. Have considered a cleanse again.

A few years ago (the round years LOL) I jump-started losing weight with:

TMI

a colonic. Ok. I know. TMI. But it immediately took me down 8 lbs. the first time and inspired me by the jump start. Spurred me to go down 25 lbs (which is where I am at now). It also gets rid of the toxins.

I posted on the "off topic" thread about my current "exhaustion, etc" and perhaps getting rid of the toxins will help with that, too.

Sorry for the tmi...but it works

Down 6ish lbs in a week! Can't wait until I can get my Wii Fit. The weight is going to be really coming off

I have completely cut out meat, sugar, vegetable oil, fast food, coffee/cappuccino and soda. Lots of fresh fruits and veggies, some milk, cheese and eggs. I am craving meat and coffee really bad. I will slowly add meat back in later this month. Maybe even do an OCCASIONAL coffee or cappuccino.

I read though many of the posts here and I can relate to many of you wanting to lose weight. Just before D-day, I was 140 pounds and on the Flat Belly Diet. It was working and after a few weeks I lost a couple of pounds of that hard to get rid of post-menopausal weight. Well, since D-day in October, I've lost a total of 35 more pounds and barely tip the scale at 100 pounds, and that's not good at all!

So for anyone here who is not eating and needs to try to keep from losing weight, buy a pre-cooked roasted chicken and pick on it. Hard boil some eggs and eat one even if you don't feel like it. Take a vitamin, or drink Ensure or Boost, anything, especially water if the thought of food makes you sick as it did me. Eat some nuts if you can, good for protein, as is the chicken and eggs, and a little spoonful of semi-sweet chocolate will help if you are not, well, having a BM. Not eating is really bad. I look like a skeleton, and being so fair skinned, I look like death warmed over. Don't let this happen to you, and on days where there is some sort of appetite, try to eat something you really love, whether it is a bad fatty food or not! Just eat!

))))ny)))) I'm sorry hun, I went through something similar after Dday but was never as thin as that. My Mum was worried sick about me.

Bad news for me but good news for you, once things settle down most of us put back the weight lost in the infidelity diet unless we consciously work at keeping it off.

Your body is dealing with the stress so it's important to, as well as eating what you can, try to find positive ways to deal with the stress.

Ok, you guys have gotten me inspired!

I printed out the Couch to 5K info because dck had recommended it to me. It seems a lot of my friends are running or starting to run and they look good.

I am 45 and need to lose about 45 lbs! Need to tone all over and also work on flexibility.

My plan is to cut out what I know I shouldn't eat. Eat more fruits and vegetables (but no fruit juices--those have tons of calories). I will still have one cup of coffee in the am, though. Lots and lots of water. Some sort of exercise daily.

And...I plan to go in for a thyroid test. My mom and her sister are hypo and I'm starting to see some of the signs myself.

Will report back!
