Edie, my first few weeks were like that, significant numbers but no visible difference. I think it was probably water weight. I started feeling and looking better around 12 pounds, and got my first unsolicited "have you lost weight?" yesterday (around 17).

Thanks, Ama - and yay for your unsolicited 'have you lost weight?'

Meta, try the yellow kind of fake sugar. I forget what it's called, Splenda maybe? It's way sweeter than real sugar, so use less. Then wean yourself.

Down 1# this week, despite the PMS symptoms. I managed to work out on my spin bike every day too. A good week.

Yay! for those that have lost. I wasn't home this weekend, and didn't have a scale to do my weigh-in. I'm just gonna skip it until next week.

Up .2 this week. Not surprising considering I had five beers and half a pizza last night.

I had to share my new yummy breakfast trick. I started adding a couple of spoonfuls of sugar-free apple sauce to my oatmeal. If I am feeling fancy I add cinnamon as well. It makes the oatmeal taste delicious and the added calories of 2 tablespoons of apple sauce are negligible. (especially compared to the cream and brown sugar I normally like on oatmeal)

Keep calm and carry on.

Yummy! Sometimes I stick half a brown banana in my oatmeal, but that's like 40 calories.

Checking in late this week! I am still here and going strong. I had the stomach flu on Sunday. Natures best cleanse

I weighed in Sunday just before I got sick and again this morning just to be sure...

I am down 12 pounds total and 3.5 pounds for this week. I am eating often and well, hitting my calories every day and doing what I should to be healthy. The weight is melting off right now.

Butternut squash soup and whole grain rolls and salad on the menu for tonight. My husband is 10 pounds down for the month as well.

And we decided this morning we're going to walk all this month, and start the "Couch to 5k" the month after. I dont even want to type that right now because I HATE running. But maybe just maybe I can do this.

We are doing a 30 day no sugar challenge. Amazing what has hidden sugar. H didn't need to lose weight but he is doing it to support me. Low and behold he dropped a pants size in 2 weeks. Sheesh

I haven't weighed myself since November 5 but I can wear my goal jeans from 3 years ago when did Medifast so I am doing something right.

I was way too focused on numbers so trying to relax that and stop the binge/starve cycle I was on to keep the weight off.

Keep motivated everyone. It sounds like you are all doing fantastic

Wow, sounds like everyone is doing great! I held steady last week, which I'm okay with. My body usually resists losing weight for a few weeks, then it will fall off for a few weeks, then go back to resisting.

Hey a little late but I going to join you all. I have bounced around in weight between 155-165 the past year since the I diet. I started gaining a few pounds the past couple months (holidays, stress, sprained foot)=bad combo. Anyway I woke up saturday and decided I was going to start a diet and stick to it for 6 weeks. I have done this diet a couple times in the past so I know I can do and stick with it. It is basically a fruit and veggie diet. It takes a lot of will power, I can also have things like beans and nuts, but it is pretty much vegan no sugar, no grains. I will allow a few cheat times here and there, and I will also have a few eggs a week just to upkeep my protein and vitamin intake.

Typically results are fast 15-20lbs in the first 6 weeks and I put my goal at 17 lbs

Once the 6 weeks is up I am going to gradually re-introduce foods like dairy and meat and healthy grains but try to maintain eating primarily fruits and veggies. I love this diet because it helps reboot my taste buds, and clean out my system and helps me eat cleaner.

The first week I will weigh myself daily, not sure about week 2. But so far I have lost 3lbs, so I feel like I am doing great.

Start weight 162
Current weight day#3 159
Goal weight 145

So far I have found it relatively easy, I think i am really motivated this time around. I am anxious to stick with it because the past 2 times I was at a much higher weight and stopped the diet around 150-55, due to not losing/circumstances so I am hoping this time to finally shed those stubborn last pounds.

Checking in.... kind of afraid to weigh. I WAS doing awesome and then my BF decided he wanted to have Qdoba nachos for dinner two days in a row!

I ran 16 miles in four days which was great and burned a lot of calories, but I then seemed to eat them right back. Sigh.

I wear a fitbit and I really like it, plus I also enter my food into MFP. I know what I need to do - I just need to do it. I really just wish I could stay away from the red wine (5 glasses this last weekend :-( ) and the stupid carbs (I had frozen yogurt for dinner Sunday)

Where is my discipline??

I don't own a scale, so I decided to go on how my clothes fit.

I'm cutting way back on carbs and sugar and I stopped drinking alcohol.

I'm also trying to get to the gym at least 2-3 times a week. Trying not to go full tilt and burn out - which is my usual MO.

I needed a sign that this is starting to work and today I feel like my pants are a little looser. That was just the thing I needed to keep me motivated!

I missed the weigh in on Sunday. Don't think the scale moved, however.

The big news is I got the results of my lab work back today, and I am hypothyroid. Starting meds tomorrow for that. Hoping that getting this straightened out will help with my fatigue, which can only help with the weight struggle.
