Sunday weigh-in. Same as before, no change. Need to step up a gear, and get back former motivation.

Bah, damn it! Gonna be honest. Up a pound this week. I cant seem to get any forward momentum going.

Not particularly thrilled with myself at the moment. Especially since I have lost the weight before, I have the tools, and know that I can do the hard work!

Going to familiarize myself with MFP this week. Can't have enough tools in the old utility belt, just need to start notching it tighter.

Sigh... Onward.

I lost 2 lbs. I still hate exercising and love chips. Posting here during the week motivates me to exercise. I started letting myself have 1 serving of plain chips occasionally. It helps me from going overboard.

Crumbled - I bet you will be awesome this week! You can do it! We can remind each other to exercise.

I had a week off school for mid-winter break, so I was able to get in good workouts and focus on healthy eating. I am down 3lbs!! Good work everyone.

Oh yeah, it's Sunday!

Down from last week, thankfully!

I'm kind of falling off the wagon here. I'm getting tired of dieting.

At least I'm still maintaining, I guess. I would really like to drop that last ten pounds before bathing suit season though. I sent a picture of my abs to my long distance FWB (it's complicated ) and he confirmed that I could stand to lose a few more pounds. I trust him to keep me in check if I get unhealthy-skinny, because he understands about my past and stuff.

I've lost 19.6 now. My full goal is 29. That means less than 10 to go!

Holy cow, inconnu! That spreadsheet is INSANE!

I love it!

jemimapd - I hit around 1200 calories a day right now. It's actually not too bad for me, as long as I'm careful to use them all wisely and not waste any on stuff that's not filling, like sweets. It gets old being so disciplined all the time though.

Down .5 lbs with 48 more to go. It's been a SLOW start, but I'm not going to give up.

Oooh gees. Now every time I think about losing weight I'm going to picture a HUGE pile of cheddar.

little wonder that it caught my eye...

I got a depressing eye opener today. I did a health assessment screening at my office this morning.

A few years ago my numbers were "PERFECT" - the Dr.'s word not mine. Today I'm officially overweight, my triglycerides are high, my blood pressure checked at pre-hypertension, and my overall cholesterol was borderline high (due to the triglycerides). The take-away is that I need to exercise more.

So enough of the hit and miss exercise - I need to be more dedicated and make it a priority.

I'm 5'3" - 155 lbs - and 52 years old. Happy Monday.

I don't really know what I was when I started but I am down a pound today over a few days ago and 3 from week ago. Yes!

My eating has seemed to be fairly good and I have been very good about not drinking more than a couple glasses of red wine a week.

Well, an epic fail tonight. I did so well today, kept to my plan and exercised but then this evening I had a bad interaction with WH.
I had remembered a time a couple of years ago when I suspected he wasn't where he said he was. He swore blind then and now that he wasn't doing anythg wrong. I will never know for sure.
I felt filled with hurt and powerlessness.
And so I ate 6 shortbread fingers bringing my daily total of calories to 2095. I did exercise today so hopefully it will just keep me where I was.
I am a terrible comfort eater. I am just breaking out of my denial around this behavior. The only person I am hurting is myself.

PS - I only had the damned things in the house because I'm supposed to take them to DD's school for an international food fair. I will replace them and take them straight to school without passing go. Other than that the kitchen is normally drug and cookie free.

New to this thread...I am 3 years past dday and lost almost 60 lbs on the infidelity diet...the thinnist I have been in 25 years and not eating was effortless...I thought I will never gain that weight back...really felt great to be that thin again...exercise to relieve stress helped me firm up and I kept it off for over a year...now I have put on 15 pounds...different kind of stress and I find myself eating to deal with other issues. I don't want a gimmick, or a diet really...just healthy eating, laying off junk food and exercising...a new lifestyle...what is MFP?

I was on the right track a few weeks ago...ate healthy, stepped up exercise, but got discouraged b/c of no change....not in weight or the fit of my clothes...I am in my late 50s and the older yoiu are, the harder it is to lose it seems....suggestions and a place to start...losing 5 quick pounds might bew good motivation.
