Question: who takes the pic of a donated item? The donor or will someone at SI do it?

And how long will donated items be accepted?

I'd just like to say that the art is amazing. I'd love to have half the talent to be able to do things like that.

MH takes all the pictures once we've received the items.

Forever

Who sets the reserve price?

Deeply Scared posted 7/8/2010 14:10 PM

The reserve price is what the Donor has suggested

Tired-Of-It-All posted 7/10/2010 09:38 AM

What is the operating budget of SI and where are they at now? Are donations needed generally speaking? I don't really like to buy anything that reminds me of the A but I love to donate

ARmom posted 7/12/2010 09:49 AM

How long will you be running the auction. I would like to donate something, but I need a little bit of time to make it.

Deeply Scared posted 7/12/2010 09:53 AM

We are billed $573.00 per month for hosting and co-location of the servers.

donations are always welcomed and appreciated

Deeply Scared posted 7/12/2010 09:54 AM

AJ...

MH and I were thinking of making this possibly a quarterly event...so if you're wanting to donate an item, we would gladly put it up on the next round

mom of 2 posted 7/12/2010 19:38 PM

I'm an auction ignoramus. Is there any reason why the reserve price isn't posted in the original item's description? IMO, I think that would be more helpful if you're interested in an item enough to bid (so you know up front what you can expect to pay).

mom of 2 posted 7/13/2010 17:55 PM

bump

Deeply Scared posted 7/13/2010 20:52 PM

If we put the reserved price out there, then the bidding would stop there. But when it is met...I make sure to post

mom of 2 posted 7/13/2010 21:06 PM

Gotcha. Thanks.

Deeply Scared posted 7/14/2010 16:23 PM

ATTENTION

We are going to start closing auction items once the highest bid is 48 hours old.

This will be implemented as of now

Hurtingfromher posted 7/15/2010 09:45 AM

I think it would be helpful to atleast get a starting price close to the reserve if one isn't to be listed. It seems the $100 mark might be the reserve going rate and some of the bidding wont ever reach it. I'm with Mom of 2. Try a couple and see what happens, at minimal you could get the reserve. Just my 2 cents.

vanna posted 7/17/2010 09:42 AM

We have a very friendly mail lady How do you address the return address??

Deeply Scared posted 7/17/2010 11:16 AM

We don't put a return address, so your nosey mail lady is SOL

Mom and Hurting...the next auction block we'll set a starting price

vanna posted 7/17/2010 13:35 PM

Thanks DS..
Can't wait to get it
