I just finished the latest historical fiction novel by Edward Rutherfurd.
It was a great, informative, and thoroughly enjoyable story and history lesson.
New York recounts the history of the city from the 1600s through to 2009, following families and their descendants while incorporating historical events.
Very readable!

Thanks for recommending this book. I've been eyeing at the library and it is sooooo fat, I didn't know whether I'd be able to get through it. I lvoe NY and have enjoyed other historical novels from there.

"Time and Again" by Jack Finney is a great NY read.

Hi Skye,
Yes, the book is quite thick, but don't let that deter you!
The novel is divided into historical chapters and they are an easy read. You can leave the book for a few hours, even a couple of days, and be able to pick up where you left off. The chapters leap through generations of the families which are introduced in the first couple of chapters.

HAPPY READING!
