It's how I'm going to be picturing him now.

That book can't get out soon enough.

Okay, I'm intrigued. That picture made me eat a can of peanuts!

Do you have to read the first one or can you just pick up any of them?

IMO the primary attraction is the not-having-sex for several books then having amazing sex in the last one, I think you need the build up to make the payoff work.

It nagged him, in particular, that none of the girls hed known so far had given him a sense of unalloyed triumph.

Oh yeah...it's the several books long worth of foreplay that leads to the big pay off.

One reason it always confuses me when men say romance novels = porn is that romance novels, to me, are about *not* having sex. There can be no sex and it's still a romance, but if there's sex sex sex but no not having sex before that, it's not a romance novel.

Antici...pation.

I know that by the end of the second book I was just seething for them to get it on.

I don't know that I know of another series that has drawn this out so successfully and in such a good way.

I'm going to be very disappointed in this next book if anything changes.

I believe it's going to be the last book in the series so there should be a lot of answers and some resolutions.

I feel bad for her because what the hell is she going to write now?
Nothing she does is going to meet the expectations after this series.

Is is out now? I thought it wasn't going to be done until August of next year or something...

But YAY...

I think Barrons is clean shaven--but yeah, pretty similar to the Xena dude.

O.k.. so I'm intrigued. I think I will ask for the first one for Christmas and go from there (so i will be terribly behind all of you and have to avoid this thread.)

One question though.. does the guy have to look like that.. or can I make him up in my head? Because sorry.. that looks like a cross between a pirate and an Oakridge Boy .. and that's not hot.

Someone obviously didn't watch a lot of syndicated television in the 90s.

I've heard people say they think he looks like Oded Fehr, but you're still dealing with similar facial hair.

Okay, just got back from book store and bought my first Karen Morning book. Darkfever.

I need to change up my reading material so I hope I will fall in love with these books like you all have.

O.k.. back form the bookstore and bought myself all of them. the woman behind the counter said "Ohhhhhh.. THOSE books!" when I asked for them and winked

So we shall see. Call me a book snob but I almost had to cover my head with a bag buying something out of the Romance section. Perhaps it is a bias I need to get over. Just made me think "Harlequin" or my grandmas romance novels KWIM?
Anyway.. I handed dh and the bag and it's one less gift he needs to look for
