Non-fiction about collapse of global financial markets. Sound well researched and well written. Interviewed by Terry Gross a few weeks ago. I read the first chapter.

Should I download the rest? Has anyone read it, is it really depressing?

I haven't read the book but have read the series on which it's based. Lewis is very readable and uses enough gallows humor and irony that the subject doesn't become too depressing.

Financial collapse series here: http://longform.org/2011/09/29/michael-lewis-financial-disaster-world-tour/

haven't read this one yet but do have others. he is very readable and seems to research his subjects well. he was the author of the book about the football player that was adopted by a white family. sandra bullock was in the movie. can't remember the name.

I'm half way through. Amazing book. He makes just about every paragraph interesting. Like a travel show, really.

I highly, highly recommend it (assuming the second half is good).
