Welcome LIBM

It's 32 degrees today in downtown Batam today.

spicy noodles for lunch,
And a cold can of sweat.

Don't know what a "Pocari" is but the sweat was quite horrid.

IWBH, you made my day. And my student's, who's taking a test he needs for graduation in June.

I looked up Pocari Sweat. It is a Filipino made sports drink: "mild-tasting, refreshing drink that replenishes body fluids lost through...SWEAT." Compliments of Pocari Sweat website....

Not gonna lose much electrolytes in 32 degrees!

Peace to one and all.

Happy weekend! Pretty sunrise this morning. Coffee is brewing. I enjoy its gurgling sounds as the rich brown water flows over the fragrant grounds and turns them into a liquid jewel.

Perhaps I could write those cheesy romance novels. Perfect for a time when we just want to get away for a spell, and not think, just be mildly entertained.

Blueberry and strawberry pancakes in the offing this morning. I have forgotten to tell newbies here on the train that water for tea is boiled in a lovely red tea kettle.

Put up a squirrel feeder, and now have four bird feeders, and diet feeder. Had a woodpecker feeder, but I thinking the squirrels carted it away. Oh, and the dogs like to eat the feed. No wonder they are Farting Dogs...

Going to pour a cup of coffee. Meet you in the observation car.

Gooood morning trainees. Sunny and fresh after the rains on the Left Coast today.

First Bike Ride Of The Year!

Took Old Faithful in to the shop for a tuneup -- chain was floppy, sprockets were making strange noises, brakes were squealing and the back tire was flat.

Turns out it hadn't had an overhaul since 2007, sooooo.... $200 bucks later, new sprockets, chain, brake cables and pads, pedals, the works.

And a new light and a tire gauge.

Runs like a dream now

That suits you, IWBH.

Amazing weather here! Walked in the sunshine with my two littlest littlies to the library today. This has been the mildest winter ever, and I am NOT complaining. Also nice to have it light past 5pm.

It always surprises me how my moods are affected by weather/sunshine.

The weather has truly been spectacular, but there is rain in the forecast.

I too love the fact that it's getting brighter in the evening.

Crocuses and snowdrops are starting to appear, won't be long before we have daffodils and tulips.

It was a short winter here in the NW, but we could still get one more round.

No winter in USA Northeast at all. Only snow we had was in October, for Pete's sake!

We are celebriating the Giants' Superbowl win. Got our t shirts...
One store sold $52,000 worth the day after the game.

We made ribs...first time ever, and we'll never eat any other ribs again.

That good.

Now, will go make some stir fry!

deana, it's a place to hang out away from the crazy.

Opposite of Crazytrain.

TammyJean started it, with her menagerie of kittywipes and farting dogs to comfort the tired weeping souls who climb on board.

We have a car full of bitch boots and feather boas for when we organize the Posse to kick some Fucklenutz ass.

(TJ will be along shortly to explain the lexicon...)

I Will Be Happy cooks amazing vegetarian cakes from Scotland, but he is Currently Occupied in a Foreign Land and away from his red kitchen. Expect a red cake soon though.

We have:

The Ravi Shankar (for meditation and yoga stretching)
The Spa Car (need I explain?)
The School Car
The Lawyer Car
The Library Car
The Workout Car

and my favourite...

The Bar Car.

Happy hour on Cupid Day could result in some delish cocktails and snacks.

So just pick a car depending on your mood, and hang out.

deanab: Welcome. I hope you enjoy hanging out here. Tammy Jean (who started this a long time ago) will explain it better. I joined the thread to connect with some positive thinking, to talk about what makes me happy, to lift others up in a positive way also without always talking about the infidelity. We do have our bad days when we all need a boost. Just someone to get some inspiration that's all. Sometimes we have a good laugh too, quite often in fact.

Hope you join in with us as we all move towards this very difficult path of healing.

Welcome on the Journey of Peace, deanab.

Ellejay and FF explained our train quite well. When the Train began its metaphorical journey in summer of 2010, most of us were in a painful, raw place. We invented shields for ourselves, personally and as a group. As we struggled to stay NC, figure out what to do, get from day to day, we leaned on each other, pulled each other through. We had a spider monkey, Eek, who frightened away the baboons, and babbons (the females...). He has retired and in his place are several barking dogs... Journals and cowboy hats are available in the lounge. GSG has a history of wonderful quotes that inspire us all. FF, Ellejay and GSG regale us with their, uh, interesting dreams.

Fucklenuttz. This is the moniker I gave to the ex. The girlfriend is known as The NuttzLover. Now the name is a generic term we use.

We talk about our kids, pets, jobs, joys, sadness, where we are on our journey. That journey does not end, we just get through the dark places, together, whenever they occur.

I vowed to always stay on the train, a place of peace, where I and others have met friends, some of whom we have met, and grown close to.

Our journey continues.

Peace.

TJ of th silver variety
