I met him online. We never met and he suggested that we go to a sporting event that he has tickets for. I agreed.

We had talked on the phone twice and emailed a few times. On the phone he said it would just be a meeting, not a date since we never met each other before.

We meet there, he sees me. We are walking to get a drink and he says.."Let's just have some fun tonite, nevermind about you and me." Mind you he is older and wrinkled with arthritis in his hands.

I was getting a lot of attention from many different guys. They were saying hello to me as we were walking thru the crowd.

A man approaches us as we stood at the snack tables and starts talking to me and then him. I started asking this other man about himself when the guy I am with says "she just dissed me, but that's ok".

We go back to our seat. The game is half over. He told me to buy the drinks all nite since he provided the ticket. I had to pay my own parking and drive myself. He says he is going to be right back and NEVER comes back. No call, no text. NOTHING! I stayed and watched the rest of the game, but I had to walk back to the car by myself and it was late.

A jerk, you were obviously out of his league and his insecurities git the better of him. I so have anxiety about being left as I was lost in the mall at 4, I would have probably freaked out if this happened to me. Sorry t2b

What a jerk!!!!

#1. (I guess I am from the old school). I go out with a guy, he foots the bill, period. I am not buying his drinks or his food. I may buy my own, but I am not buying his.

#2. If he just wants to meet people, go to the mall, not on line dating sites. It's then a date unless it's just coffee to begin with.

Damn this makes me scared to even ever want to date again after I D WH#2.

He was nothing like his online pics. Yes, he was insecure. I ALWAYS drive myself.

He didnt say anything about me paying for drinks until we got to the drink counter. The line was long so I just said ok, but I did tell him "thanks for "telling me" I am paying for drinks.

I hate dating. I have found nothing but jerks who want me to pay for a lot of things or complain about having to pay if we go out.

There are women who online date just to get free stuff, and it would appear, men too. It's gross how nasty people can be with that little veil of anonymity.

I'm confused by this. If I was out with a guy and he started chatting up a woman and asking her about herself I would be a bit put off by that.

The comment about getting attention from other guys prior to this conversation makes me wonder a number of things. But it seemed to trip his insecurities.

The rest is just weird. He should have laid out the "terms" of the "meeting" in advance. Leaving you there is just freaky.

I'm sorry you had such a bad experience. But later, you will be laughing about it as one of those experiences that people in the land of the single have.

Divorced - recovered and hoping to help.

Wow. Between his initial reaction and his comment about just having fun, you chatting up a random guy with him there, him telling you to buy the drinks and not talking about that beforehand, etc. it was bound end in disaster.
