Aubrie84,
I would venture to guess that you hit your head and probably sustained a concussion. THAT type of trauma DOES cause memory loss.

Don't forget her other versions of what happened.

"I was NOT there!"

"Ok, I was there. But I am lucky to be alive because there were these two Ninjas..."

This all points more at concienceness (is that spelled right?)of guilt, not a faulty memory.

I could maybe buy the "I don't remember all the details" if this wasn't a premeditated murder. If she had truly "snapped". However, all the details point to a very calculated, premeditated murder. Travis only had a chance if he would have legitimized their relationship.

I agree SisterMilkshake. Some of people (not saying anyone here, in fact, no one has said it lol) think that it order for it to be premeditation, she had to have planned the murder weeks in advance. Just her going into the closet & getting the gun was premeditation, her stabbing him & thinking "hey once isn't enough, let's keep going" ( ) is premeditation. Of course, Jodi Arias also bought 3 gas cans, filled them weirdly (put a few gallons in one, then the other, etc. at the same time, just different transactions), she purposely rented a car somewhere not in her home town, a car that wouldn't "stand out" when she FULLY admitted on the stand that she had 2 friends who would have lent her their car. Can't do that though, then someone may have seen her & known who she was!

I have, unfortunately, seen the autopsy & crime scene photos. It takes an extremely strong stomach to look at them so don't seek them out if you don't have one and this was one brutal, horrid crime. I don't think Travis had a chance. Perhaps if he had agreed to take her to Cancun (instead of the girl he was seeing at the time) this wouldn't have happened, but I don't know. It may have anyway, just at a different time.

There are so many things that disgust me about her but one of the biggest is the way she's dragging Travis through the mud. His 2 sisters, Tanisha & Samantha and 1 brother, Steven are in that court room every day. They have now missed 7 1/2 weeks of work. They can't show outward emotion in court (other than their crying..they can't scream at her or yell "THAT'S A LIE!")..they have to sit through each & every lie of hers. In fact, yesterday as her testiphony (<--that's what I call it lmao) wrapped up, Tanisha became overwhelmed and had to leave the court room. It's just awful.

At first, I was a little nervous that the jurors have 100 questions for her. Now though, I think it's good. Some will get tossed out for being duplicate questions, some won't be allowed in..but, the ones that are, those questions are hopefully going to show how serious those jurors are taking their job. Unlike the Casey Anthony jury who didn't ask ONE question.

Just to be clear, I'm totally not letting her off the hook. I speak only of the memories she may/may not have of the murder event itself.

All the things before and after the murder act point to deliberate, premeditated actions.

starrysky, the crime scene and autopsy photos are indeed terrible. They do make one believe that this was not an accident or "defense" scene. I cannot imagine how his family feels having to sit there and look and listen to all of that, plus the garbage that's been strung thru the courtroom so far. They must be so devastated.

Did I miss anything today? I forgot to set my recorder for the last segment. I saw some of the questions after what seemed like YEARS of talking heads and commercials.

Lots of good questions from the jurors, no new answers from what I have heard/seen. But, I wasn't able to watch very much as I do have things that need to be done.

I'm gonna have to check archives. There were SO many technical difficulties and recesses because of it, I gave up trying to watch. Curious to see what the jurors asked.

I watched a good bit of it but because of the many recesses & technical delays, I missed the last hour or so of testiphony because my daughter had a soccer game.

This jury is ON. THE. BALL. They are really asking excellent, well thought out, intelligent & important questions, IMO. Jodi is coming off very rehearsed, she's answering super quickly which just comes off weird & she hasn't really added anything "new", as far as I heard.

Here are some of the questions & Jodi's responses:

Q: Why did you put the camera in the washer?
A: I don't have memory of that and don't know why I did it.

Q: Why did you call the cops on your ex who shook you but you never called the cops on Travis?
A: It was a very negative experience (with the ex) and then years and years later as far as June 4th there were no phones upstairs and I knew TA would make up for it if I called.

Q: Why would you continue to sleep with TA after you learned of his child porn issues?
A: That was a side of Travis that he hated to even exist. I was under the impresseion when he was able to sleep with a woman he felt more normal as a man. I had seen so many good qualities. prior to that.

Q: Did Travis' closet doors have locks on them?
A: I don't remember them having any locks.

Q: If "no" (regarding lock on closet door) how did you have time to get the gun down if he was right behind you.
A: I don't know if he was right behind me or not I just had the sense he was chasing me.

Q: Travis stated during phone sex, he did not like Spiderman why did he send you Spiderman underwear?
A: I don't know why they were spiderman, the year prior, there was a child he was close with that really liked spiderman. (Prosecutor objected, sustained)

That's just a few but gives the gist of the awesome jury questions. I'm sure there's a complete list somewhere out there on the web. Hearing the questions gave me A LOT of confidence that she'll be convicted of first degree murder. I just don't think they are buying any of her story.

Oh wow thanks starrysky. You sure didn't have to dig all that up for my benefit. I feel so special.

I am able to listen in today and I agree. Great questions. I was impressed with several. A couple being in reference to the attack and one about her comments of "As I believe it now" and has she sought professional counsel on those thoughts. Her answer, no. So it's still just her interpretation of things.

Hmmmm...

Ok dumb question again.

Why are they giving Arias time to read, review, and rehearse the jury questions? The judge had announced beforehand it would be all law abiding and whatnot. Why give the defendant the opportunity to prepare and fabricate a story?

LOL, you're welcome Aubrie, it really wasn't any trouble at all :) I missed so much yesterday, I wanted to see them too!

I don't get this either. I'm not sure if it's the "norm" since this is the first trial I've watched where the jury is allowed to question the defendant. I try to comfort myself by saying that no matter how much she prepares or how much she is coached, she still is who she is. I think the jury sees right through her. I frequently read a crime message board where the majority of the people are watching this trial. One of the posters is in the courtroom for the trial every day & gives little insights. She said that yesterday, every male on the jury appeared "over her". They all sat with chins up..looking like they just know she's full of it. She also mentioned that NO ONE on the jury makes eye contact with her anymore. She answers the questions to the jury, looks right at them & they look anywhere but at her

Aubrie84,
Wow!!

I'm a little behind, so I haven't heard that one yet.

Q) you were recalling times of memory loss with Travis. How is it possible you remember such details from those days if you had a "foggy memory"?

A) ......I'm sorry, can you repeat that please?

Q) repeat

A) the fog or the confusion only began and only begins when he starts screaming or maybe if there's a fear there's going to be tension or some kind of escalation of anger or violence. Umm...and then certain incidents such as the physical pain which is crystallized n my mind. Umm...so that sticks. And then also there are journal entry's that I've made that remind me of that day and details of that day so, it helps remem..."Oh yeah I did this before I went to Travis's house I remember it was around this time or this day or this day of the week...so I did review my journals constantly um over the years and that's given me perspective as far as, you know, things like that, so umm the confusion comes in when he begins to get angry.

Q) Is ther anyone else who knows of your memory issues?

A) Umm....well, I mean again, I think I have a really excellent memory, just the....

Objection!

Q) answer the question as stated.

A) Ok....well it's hard because I don't think I have memory issues.

Q) Alright, well that's your answer.

That poor court reporter! Can you imagine trying to keep up with her confusion tactics and her rambling?

She reminds me of the way my XNPDH would answer questions.

My Attorney) have you ever been physically abusive to your wife.

XNPDH) Well, one time she was attacking me and I held my arm out to stop her, then she ran into my fist and fell on the floor. She hit the edge of the counter when she fell....I guess that's what caused her to start bleeding. I guess she had a black eye too, but I think she got that from one of her horses. I felt really bad about that."

I was amazed when I got the interrogatories and the transcripts. It's easy to get caught up in the rumblings of a crazy person when you listen to them. i always found myself trying to sort through the maze of words. But when it's typed out...whoa!

Right. Dude deserves a vacation and a raise after this case.

The tweet feeds are hysterical. My fav so far:

I haven't been able to watch everything and what I keep wondering is has it been addressed:

Why did you stab him a zillion times and slice his throat after you shot him?

How did he get back in the shower (or did it all happen in the shower?)

Or did these things happen when she was in her "fog" and there is no answer?

deeplysad,

Supposedly she doesn't remember anything about the murder. At all.

(Well that was the story last week. Of course this week now she remembers screaming and the gun going off and the emotions she felt at those moments)

One question I have
"Are you still a practicing Mormon?"

...and that the gun was in a holster.

And she has gone from "I wouldn't know how to load a gun or take off the safety. But I am familiar with guns, not formally trained or anything, just I am very familiar with guns."

The circular speech is making me dizzy.

I hate it when guns just go off like that - so inconvenient.

Aubrie - good question about still being a Mormon.

"I wouldn't know how to load a gun or take off the safety. But I am familiar with guns, not formally trained or anything, just I am very familiar with guns."

Puh-leeze. What is "formal" training? As in a branch of the military? A concealed weapons class? Hunter's safety? Oodles of people can handle a gun without "formal" training.

Alot of people can pick up any firearm and get the general idea of checking the chamber, loading ammo, safety, trigger, etc. It's not that hard.

I found an interesting video on Youtube about the timeline of the actual attack but I don't really wanna post it here. It's a wee bit graphic and icky. If you're interested, PM me for it. Kinda pokes holes in her whole "ran into the closet" story. (Not that anyone really needs more proof that she's lying.)
