Yes, I saw that one.

She also did one for 48hrs. In that interview she is telling how when she was "wrongfully" arrested. During her mug shot she said, "I said to myself, what would Travis do in this situation? He would smile, so I smiled." Then she went on in that sickeningly sweet voice how she felt so bad for his family so she sent 20 Iris' to his grandmother (woman who raised him) and she went on to say that she sent Iris' because when she and Travis discussed names for their future children, he liked the name Iris.

That's when the "creep factor" really went up for me.

I've no real concept of courtroom practices outside of what I learn from watching Law & Order & trials on TV but I wonder why the Prosecutor hasn't asked the judge for permission to treat her as a hostile witness.
She is under cross examination, so he can already treat her as a hostile witness. The primary difference in how a witness is treated is that a lawyer is allowed to ask a hostile witness leading questions, usually designed to be answered with a yes or no. From what you are describing, that would be a tactical error in this case, as asking her open ended questions and allowing rambling and obfuscating answers is ideal for the prosecution. It lets the jury see the extent of the wackiness in the story. One of the things I have observed in low level psychopaths is that they assume they are much smarter than everyone else, and since they generally aren't very smart, by extension, that everyone else is stupid. They believe that they can tell whatever lies they want and everyone will believe them.

Juries, like most average people, get a little pissed when they see this attitude on display.

Ick. I saw that, too. I can't watch. What little I've seen has been on the news. She completely freaks me out and I can't stand to look at her, let alone try to listen to her. I watched the Casey Anthony trial religiously, but if she had gotten on the stand, I wouldn't have been able to tolerate it. I lost faith in the system with that one.

Nailed it. It infuriates me, but there's no point in even acknowledging it with them because they feed off of ANY reaction, so the ideal reaction to everything they do is...

Just read this thread and I 100% agree that she's lying through her teeth about the "self defense". I thought that when I first heard what his wounds were. You do NOT stab someone 27 times in self defense. One or two, I could see it but not that many times. THEN to go on and slit his throat AND put a bullet in his head blows the self defense scenario right out of orbit.

I also saw the clip where she said no jury would convict her and the clips where she'd changed her story from "two unknown individuals" to "self defense". I guess she's so smart that it never occurred to her that changing her story (especially so radically) would arouse suspicion.

The latest I heard is she didn't tell anyone she killed him (at least she admitted it) was because she was "ashamed" .

I don't have cable so am not watching the trial but I have the very strong feeling that she won't be as lucky as Casey Anthony. She may not fry but she won't see the outside of a prison until she needs a walker.

Now she claims the reason she said "no jury would convict her" was because she planned to kill herself.

But it didn't work because the prison razor "stung" too much when she tried to cut herself.

No shit.

After she killed Travis she drove to some guy she was talking with online and made out with him.

If she walks like Casey Anthony my faith in the criminal justice system will be crushed.

RT, one difference between Jodie Arias and Casey Anthony is Casey's story didn't change that radically in a very short time. Jodie's story changed from "two unidentified people" to "self defense" within weeks. There is no papertrail, no witnesses (even after the fact) of any sort of physical abuse as she's now claiming. Even Travis' friends were telling him there was something "off" about her. She's told just about everyone a different story about what happened but what I think will nail her is the injuries suffered by Travis. The self defense explanation is patently bullsh*t. Shot once or even twice most people can see, a couple stab wounds, yeah, possible. But *27* stab wounds PLUS the slit throat PLUS the bullet in the head?? Unless the jury is made up of completely brain dead people and the prosecutor is an absolute moron, that isn't gonna fly.

^^^ Pretty much.

Mr. Aubrie is hooked on this story now. He believes she is totally guilty and there is not enough evidence of "abuse" and "sexual deviance" to back up her story.

Aubrie, from what I've heard there is NO evidence of abuse. She's lying and everyone but THE most gullible know she's lying.

During initial examination on the stand her memory was such that she remembered even minute details but on cross... THAT'S when she "couldn't remember" even the most basic details. The prosecutor called her on it. Her story changed even while she was being questioned. She's either incredibly stupid or thinks everyone else is.

She looks to the right every time she answers a question from the prosecutor. Is that where her attorney is located? Is she seeking his advice" to answer?

lynn, she's looking at the jury. Her attorney is in front of her, to her left.

The prosecutor has the patience of Job. Holy bucket y'all. This woman is maddening. I have yet to hear a simple "yes" or "no" out of her. It takes 45 minutes and 4,000 questions to get one simple point across.

I am watching late....I dvr'd it.

OMG! They are getting down and DIRTY today. I couldn't believe the phone sex tapes. GEESH!!

A normal person would certainly DIE of embarrassment!!

Why is she on the stand, anyway? I thought defendents are usually not called. I am going to have to watch the trial when SO is out of the home, he hates murderer stuff like this... I hope she does not walk like Casey Anthony.

She is testifying because her defense is "self defense." It would be difficult to put on an convincing case for self defense without having her testify.

Yesterday the prosecutor was questioning her about snooping in the emails of Travis Alexander. (and other boyfriends) She tells about one email involving a married woman from the church. She plays it like she was so offended that TA would have "sex talk" with a married woman.

Prosecutor asked for this married woman's name. (I think just wanting a first name to keep things straight.)

Arias - Oh...I don't want to be responsible for ruining someone's marriage.....

Prosecutor : what was her name?

And Arias BLURTS out this woman's WHOLE name!! First, middle (or maiden) and last name. The prosecutor barely finished the question and she was saying the name.

She is such a FREAK!

Like I said, I very much doubt the plea of self defense will fly considering what she did to him. Add to that the threatening e-mails and tampering with evidence (she *did* try to get rid of the gun). You don't inflict that kind of damage on a person in "self defense".
