I also read that the reason for the long delay on Monday in part had to do with ALV whining to Nurmi and the judge about Martinez "beating her up" and "abusing" her on the stand. She was telling the judge how she wasn't going to tolerate it.

And that outburst in the courtroom we heard? The laughter? That was her cheering crowd.

If she is such a "professional" why don't these people know the rules like everyone one else. NO outburst!

TA's family has had to sit there and listen to the defense completely destroy their brother without making a peep.

ALV is NO professional. And I hope her career is left in shambles after this. She is a disgrace to REAL victims of domestic violence.

She is my worst nightmare. My XH was/is a psychopath and can charm the socks/pants off many. He could attempt to convince people that HE was the real victim with EASE. During our divorce, I had a domestic violence protection order which removed him from our home and protected me. Our original judge (a woman) dropped that order after being convinced by HIM that I sought that order as revenge because I was "jealous" of him and his new girlfriend. And if that wasn't bad enough, she turned around and gave HIM and the OW protection orders!!

As soon as I got word of this decision, I went straight to the courthouse and into her chambers. I sat down and told her what a horrible mistake she was making, and that my LIFE was now in jeopardy. I also told her that I would not leave until and unless she reinstated my order or she had me removed.

She scheduled an emergency hearing for the next morning. And long story short I got my PO back.

But this ALV could get someone KILLED!

She's just all kinds of professional.

Umm, I hope that you realize that when I made the above statement, it was written with extreme sarcasm.

This is exactly why I wish Mr. Martinez would have asked ALV "Is this abuse?" when ALV asked him "Are you angry with me?" because than the jury would see that ALV confuses anger with abuse. Just because someone is angry with someone doesn't make it abuse.

Yes. I knew you weren't serious. I'm being sarcastic when I say "professional" too.

It will be interesting to hear why the late start today and who was whining about what.

Nobody has answered this question:

Why, if Jodi was being "abused", would she move from being reletively safe in California to her abusers SAME neighborhood?

Listening to the jury questions. Very interesting! Just judging from the questions it sounds like the jurors are skeptical of ALV, too.

OMG!!!! The jury just asked her why does she keep looking at Jodi and "smiling warmly". Twice!!! Ouch

They are asking great questions.

Even though there's not a verdict in yet & anything can happen, this jury is reinstating my faith in the justice system! They are showing, that even after ALL this time, they are still paying very close attention & aren't skipping a beat! Not stupid questions either, seriously thought provoking ones that show they are on top of things. I LOVE IT!

The only downside to jury questions is now Wilma gets to follow up with ALV & that will likely take ALL of tomorrow, leaving the jury to ponder whatever she says over the weekend.

I wish we had a "thanks" button (like on the other site ). Yes, the jury is restoring my faith. They are taking this very seriously.

At this point, I think it's a matter of sentencing. There's just no way to get past the brutal killing of Travis Alexander.

(Now watch: when we get to the penalty phase, the jury will be expected to forget everything they've been told by ALV---suddenly Arias's childhood will be the terrible one that predisposed to violence.)

Have you guys seen this?

http://justdatruth2012.blogspot.com/2013/04/alyce-laviolette-disgrace-to-her.html

ALV is being attacked all over the Internet. Her office is getting phone calls from her formerly scheduled speaking arrangements canceling her. But she is also receiving threats which have resulted I her making a trip to the ER.

I don't advocate threats or any type of violence, but what the hell did she expect when she decided to LIE FOR MONEY?

This woman is the worst nightmare of REAL VICTIMS of domestic violence. And as a surviving victim of domestic violence, I understand the public outrage.

Ok, ok....what happened today!?

I came in on the tail end. There were tweets saying Travis's sister was taken into the judges chambers. Jodi was back there at one point. I think Shrinking Violet was back there.

At the end of the afternoon, Judge told SViolet to be back in court on Tuesday.

SViolet said, "Umm, I have some tests...*insert some mumbling I couldn't understand*"

Judge Sherry cut. her off. and said, "Don't tell me your personal issues. You said you have business on Monday. You are aware of the issue here. Be here Tuesday. You are still under subpoena."

And also, a Miss Wong from Nancy Grace is supposed to be in court on Monday with her attorney.

What did I miss!?

ALV got caught in a major lie that was terribly awkward. The jury asked her how many times has she testified on behalf of a man in a criminal court case. She responded "one or two". Martinez came up and he immediately asked: "What's his name?" Which let to a lot of "uuhhhs, uuhhhhss..." an overruled objection, and an eventual "I did not testify, I wrote a report that was read".

Don't know why she has to be back, though. I thought they were done with her.

I also thought it was interesting how while she was talking to Wilmott they are focusing less on the supposed physical abuse and more on the verbal and the tearing down of someone's character.

It was pretty good, the Judge's bitch slap made me guffaw.... but I have mixed feelings. I feel bad for ALV, but at the same time I feel like she has brought this upon herself. Still, does she deserve this much wrath? But she has dragged this murder victim's name through the mud with her te$timony... ugh, so conflicted.

ALV just undid all her days of testimony with this lie. She lies and she believes a liar. She is biased against men, I feel. If she was such an expert in DV she would understand that men can be and are victims of DV, also.

eta: I think the "other issue" that ALV needs to come back for is something to do with her contact with Travis's sister. I don't know what that could possibly be, but it seems all the talking heads on tv are stumped, also.

I agree 100%. I also think her unwillingness to bend, or to even consider that Travis was the DV victim is going to end up looking bad on her. I thought most of the jury questions voiced the public's speculation about her testimony.

BTW, did anyone else notice the point when Jodi was "crying"? Of course, it was while ALV was testifying about the all "abuse" Jodi put up with. I thought it looked kind of contrite.

I believe at that moment she lost any crumb of credibility she might have left.

Since she admittedly lied about testing on behalf of any men, then everything else she said is suspect and not worth considering. IMHO.

Did anyone catch Wilma's freak out today? It was early in the day, right after the last jury questions were read..she was back up there for follow up with ALV. She was talking a MILLION miles a minute, Juan objected to something & there was a sidebar. Wilma went back to the lectern, addressed ALV, shuffled papers, then said something like "I'm lost!" & burst out laughing; the judge promptly called a 10 minute recess It was so amusing!!!

I wish we had a "thanks" button (like on the other site)

Ahhh yes, that's the site I post on & get most of my info from They are GREAT over there!

I think one of the most upsetting part of the testimony was the jury question that said: "On the one side we have demeaning multiple verbal slurs, a slap, a shove, a choke hold, and a lunge perpetrated on Jodi. On the other we have a gun shot to the head, a 4 inch deep slit throat and close to 30 stab wounds delivered by Jodi to Travis. Is not the perpetrator of the greatest domestic violence Jodi?"

ALV's response: "NO."

I was floored, and I could only hope the jurors were as shocked, baffled, and indignant as I was.
