You know what is sad....

I think she 'play' crys because most of the time it looks like she is smiling and not really crying, like she is just trying to cover it up.

Honest to God! I was sure when Travis's sister was speaking, she was hiding a grin behind her hand.

She's been told by her attorneys to at least try to look sad, but most of the time, she just can't pull it off.

Did you hear her phone call to the reporter, planning the post-verdict interview? It's like she's airily talking about someone else. It's downright eerie. There's no relation to reality.

I'm confused... was Jodi suppose to be crying? Because all I saw was the fake "pretty" cry and a fucking smirk behind her hand. How is she not thoroughly disgusted with herself?

DI, being disgusted with oneself would require a conscience of some sort. From everything I've seen and read, Jodi has none. She brutally butchered another human being and was convinced she would suffer zero consequences for it... until the verdict came down. I don't think it will really hit her until she's led into her cell and the door slams shut behind her. Maybe not even then. Perhaps when she's taken to the room with the table, strapped down and she feels the needle go into her arm.

Pretty good, 48 Hours trying to unravel her lies:

http://www.cbsnews.com/video/watch/?id=50147080n

I was thinking about it and I think at this point the jury may have little to no sympathy for her left (if they had any at all to begin with). I believe the approach of slandering Travis' name was probably the worst thing that she could have done.

This is called duper's delight; she is, indeed, smiling--but delighted she's "fooling" everyone with her grief. It's common with certain personality disorders, including the sociopathy/psychopathy she clearly has (though Demarte and Martinez were QUICKLY shut down when testimony headed down this path).

Arias has shown it many times during the trial---particularly when "sobbing" when asked the infamous, "Were you crying when you stabbed Travis? When you shot him...?" questions.

She puts on a disgusting display.

Here is another 48 Hours, this one is only about 4 minutes long. It is a reporter talking about his first impressions:

http://www.cbsnews.com/video/watch/?id=50147083n

I am just appalled. At one point she says "I am not planning on crying in this interview". Are you fucking kidding me???? You are suppose to be talking about one of the most traumatic events in your life and you are not planning on crying?!!

Solus: that Duper's Delight is interesting. Never heard of it before, googled it and there are all kinds of articles.

I watched all of her interviews. In the one with Maureen (can't remember her last name) JA is still telling the ninja story. She ends it by saying, "Then I grabbed my purse and ran out the door."

Really, Jodi?? Really??

When she very first told that story, I knew she was full of it. But the "purse" comment sealed it for me.

IF that were true and you just witnessed someone being murdered would you have the presence of mind to "grab your purse"??? Hell, I wouldn't even know the first place to begin looking for my purse. Wouldn't you go running, screaming out the front door to the nearest neighbors, yelling for someone, anyone to call for help??

Wow....

The defense really doesn't want that post verdict interview played for the jury, do they?

How bad can it be when one of your character witnesses, a childhood friend, who she's had minimal contact with since childhood, and who is reported to be a heroin addict backs out at the last minute?

Unbelievable

I know the defense attorneys tried to withdraw again today and are not presenting any witnesses, but what the heck happened?

Nurmi filed another motion for a mistrial. Claimed that one of the witnesses had been "intimidated" by the prosecution. (as well as others, mentioned Alice LaViolette) Martinez said that during his interview with Womack (the character witness) there were some issues brought up that about some alleged illegal activity involving Ms Womack (drug use, etc) She refused to answer the questions. And she didn't show up today. The problem the defense is facing is ANYTHING any witness says can be challenged by the prosecution. I.e. "She's a good artist." Really? She traces all of her work. "Please let her live, she really wants to live." Really? Listen to this interview she did and hear what she had to say about that. So it seems anyone they put on and anything they say will open the door to a problem.

The next thing that happened was Nurmi filed a motion to withdraw.

Both motions were immediately denied.

So now it seems the only person who is going to speak is JA. And she is only allowed to give a statement. Basically beg for her life. (or death) ?? She won't be cross examined or anything. Then they will have closing statements.

It's what she prefers--being the centre of attention AGAIN.

Wow, court starts an hour and a half late and Her Royal Pukeness is speaking and fake crying. I don't have the stomach for this.

She's been talking for about 5 minutes and my eyes hurt from rolling so much.

I just can't believe anything coming out of her mouth to be any kind of truth.
