I've had this "crush" on my son's teacher since last year. Its one of those crushes that is from afar as it would never ever amount to anything - for all I know he's married. And never in a million years would I even dare to hit on a teacher.

But man oh man he is the most dreamy man. He's a fully dedicated teacher to his students, always keeps the parents updated on what's going on in class, offers help to his students on all subject levels....he's got that nerdy, but sexy look, tall and a great smile....

I rarely see him anymore as he is not my son's teacher, but he tutors my son on occasion so I send him emails thanking him and he always responds so politely.

AHHHH...I can just dream from afar that I will find a man like him one day.

The fact that he's a teacher AND dedicated to teaching is the biggest turn on EVERRRR.

Lordy, I need a cold rag on my head.

Maybe I just want him to still be his teacher.....he just offers tutoring to all his students current and former....OMG...just stop me please because i want to be tutored by him too!!

Yep. He won't be your son's teacher forever!!!

My neighbor had a crush on her dd's 5th grade teacher. He was (is) 11 years younger than her, a free spirited, dedicated teacher... who she eventually dated, then married.

They've been together for 30 years.

He's only off limits if he's married and WHILE he's your son's teacher. Then.... well, anything is possible.

No, no, no...don't give me false hope, LOL...

In our email exchange back and forth I casually said "not sure if you and your wife have kids or not..." and went on to say that he would be an amazing father and that teachers need to get a lot of credit for their hard work, blah blah blah...

He didn't acknowledge my hint of a question, lol, but instead said thank you and that there needs to be more great parents like me. If he only knew that I feel like the most horrible parent in the world....

Anyway, I'm pretty sure he's married and even if he wasn't there is NO WAY I'd even ask him out or anything of that sort.

I can just have my crush from afar and *wish* that I meet a man like him.

Yeah, I know what you mean, I do check out dad's or teachers, and coaches now, things I would NEVER do in the past. Last year I had a huge crush on a single dad from my ds's school. During the trial S from xwh I was bound and determined to say 'hi' to him but didn't ever have the opportunity.

Honestly I would see him nearly every day and he was a motivation tool for myself, I kept telling myself that I deserve to be treated better and there are good men out there that would treat me with respect. I have no idea what kind of man he was other than he was a very devoted father and very involved with school functions etc. I admired that a lot about him.

I don't see him anymore as I think he works second shift and no longer picks up his daughter like last year when the kids were only in morning K. I saw him 2x's this school year and I jokingly tell myself if it is meant to be, it will happen in due time lol!

But I big time get crushes on guys and never ever even make a hint I am crushing on them I am much too shy.

Crushes are NOT fun...

I am too shy too. Occasionally I will break out of my barrier and make a move, but for the most part I stick to the sidelines.

Well, being shy is fine and all but....... If you see even a little bit of interest and he's single, bring a little bit of the flirty, sexy out. Just one smile can do wonders. I know, I used to work with 300 males and we were only 7 females. Smiles did a lot of talking in those days

oh and fwiw, if you are unsure if someone is divorce or married some counties have online public records you can check if someone is divorced at least if you have their first and last name. Kind of a super sleuth skill I learned searching for my bio dad, but I tend to check it if I suspect a guy may be divorced, maybe a little PI' ish but oh well, I much rather be certain than think I am may be falling for a married man kwim?

And funny I mentioned the single dad in my last post here, I actually saw his vehicle dropping off my ds today at school, we were a little later than normal. I am a big believer in the law of attraction you know "what you think about comes about" so I hadn't given him much thought until this last post and then i see him today funny

That is soooo funny...my brother is an "IT guy"...and all he ever talks about are these ladies who "don't know computers" constantly calling him up to "fix it" for them...

Should I tell him...

Does the school have a website? As a teacher, we had to maintain our own page on our school's website. It usually included a bio so you might find some info there.

I'm bumping this thread. All you ladies, what has become of your crushes? Tell us.

I'm finding myself crushing on a certain somebody, even though it's not really an option. I wonder if it's all just part of the process.

This thread makes me giggle to no end because I GOT the sexy in a nerdy kind of way, single, hit on by all the moms, teacher.

We were colleagues when I was married and nothing more than professional colleagues (we weren't even particularly friendly) and then as soon as my divorce hit the work grapevine, guess who showed up in my classroom doorway?

Yup, the younger-than-me, never-married, brilliant, dedicated teacher, asking ME out on a date.

I was absolutely floored.

We've been married a year and a half, and I have been told by SEVERAL moms at the school that they're happy for me, but can't believe I finally nabbed the much-talked about teacher.

Love. This. Thread.
