Rather than emptying the dishwasher I will just take the clean dishes out one at a time, as needed. But then I have nowhere to put the dirty dishes so the sink fills up and by the time I get around to doing the dishes, the dirty dishes completely fill the dishwasher and the cycle begins all over again.

dameia-I do the same thing, but I don't view it as being lazy. For me it's efficiency, since I have a very tiny kitchen.

I solemnly swear that I am up to no good.

Standing next to the utensils drawer I have used my finger to spread mayo on a sandwich instead of leaning over 2 inches and opening the drawer. But usually it's making the kids do things for me.

I call it dish economy. I use as few dishes as possible when I prepare food. I wonít use a strainer when a pasta scoop will do. A paring knife must accomplish all jobs. Iíll eat out of Pyrex so leftovers will be ready to reheat. Sometimes I think I might be causing myself more work, but I hate dishes so much I donít care.

The laziest thing I do is wake up in the middle of the night having to go pee and just lay there and lay there hoping it will go away.

This takes the cake. And yes, I do it too!!!

Okay, I'll cop to this one too. But it's not laziness, it's teaching the children responsibility!!! They're going to need these skills later on in life. Right?

And Sad, I do not have a very tiny kitchen. But I do have a ton of dishes, so maybe that evens it out?

The peeing in the middle of the night thing--- Yah Guilty!!!

Watching something I detest because I don't want to get up and find the remote. To my benefit though, my kids notoriously hide the damn thing from each other so they don't have to watch what the other wants. Unless Wheel of Fortune is coming on, then you have never seen me move so fast. After working as an ICU for more than 10 years, and hearing that damn show come on everyday at the end of your shift, I have come to detest it, and I can't stand to hear the intro.....

I've done the dishwasher thing too. Also, I've gotten a clean utensil rather than take the few minutes to wash an already used one... when I'm right by the sink.

I'll use Kleenex in the bathroom instead of reaching the 6" into the cabinet to get a new roll of toliet paper.

I also will my pee away at night.

What is up with that?

Yep, me too!

You'd think that after waking up night after night that I would know to just get up and go, so I can get back into bed and back to sleep!! But, nope, gotta see how long I can last!! And I HATE to lose sleep!

(Raises hand) and you'd think after being a bed wetter as a young kid, I would know better.

I stack stuff on the stairs that needs to go to a room upstairs instead of actually taking the stuff up. So by the time I finally go up to bed, I need 4 arms and a backpack to get everything up there. Lazy!

If I don't feel like making the bed, I lat the flat sheet down, lie on it, and make a human taco with the rest of the flat sheet. Sometimes, the bed never gets made, and its time to wash the sheets again.

In the winter, I go to bed as soon as I get home from work and read or watch tv. Doing it right now, as a matter of fact!

I can relate to so many of these... and as I just set my timer for 5:55 I thought of this thread...

Yep, if I have to set a timer for 6 mins I press 555... 1 min gets ya 111... you know, so I don't have to MOVE my finger to another number

Me: "kids go put all the white things in 1 pile, the black and very dark in another and the brights in another"
Me: "Well done. Now carry the white things to the washer and put them in"
Me:"Very good! Now DD4, put one of them blue gel things in the washer and close the door"
Me: "Perfect! Press 'On'. DS3, what number is bright red?"
DS3: "5!"
Me: "Good boy! Press the silver button!"
DS3: "I did it!"
Me: "Very good kids!"

Wife comes home...

Me: "Don't worry Darlin, I've started the washing."
