Still maintaining my weight even though I haven't been exercising as much. It's so frustrating that whatever I do isn't enough. I'm going to have to take more extreme measures.

Going to try my best to lower carbs. I love my carbs - soft pretzels, sandwiches, chips, crackers, pasta... Also, going to up my water intake again. I did good for a week, but then I ran out of bottled water... I don't know what else to do. Besides up my exercising (Been only 1 hour/week the past few weeks). But even when I was going to zumba 4 hours/week nothing changed.

I should really make the doctor appointment that I've been thinking about making for almost a year. I haven't had a check up on myself since, I don't know. 13 years? I don't even know who to call to make an appointment. It's strange to look up doctor's online and wonder if they will be a good fit or not!

My weight stayed the same. I exercised for only 5min this week. My allergies are awful and I have had no oooomph to move.

Still hovering around 173 regardless of diet and exercise.

So WTF... I'm gonna eat what I want.

Me too, jrc. I'm already doing terrible with my low carb idea... but I am drinking more water. It helps that it's 80+ outside after being 60s not too long ago. I'm going to continue to try to eat healthier for my kids sake. We all had some salad with dinner tonight. That's huge for DS6 who insisted he doesn't like salad for the longest time!!

Well... despite my mini rant... I continue to eat healthy.

I refuse to go up a pant size.

Little Turtle... all I ever drink is water... except my one cup of coffee in the morning.

Lemon helps.

Hint Water is awesome too... no sugar just a hint of flavor.

So last week, I was up .5# and this week I am down 2# for a total of 1.5# for the whole time. Haven't been doing the greatest since I'm under a lot of stress and I have had to skip running since I pulled a calf muscle again. Back at it again going into this weekend though and I just got some new shoes that are absolutely fantastic.

Here's a recipe for anyone interested. It is one from America's Test Kitchen that I have modified.

Turkey Burgers - Makes 5 1/4# burgers

1/2 t table salt
1 1/2 t ground pepper
1 t ground yellow mustard
1/4 t cayenne pepper
1/2 t garlic powder
1/4 c fresh grated parmesan
2 t A-1 Steak Sauce
2 t Worcestershire sauce

2 T milk
1/4-1/3 c bread, diced (2 slices) (I usually use something like a 12-grain bread)

1.25 # package of lean ground turkey
2 oz crumbled gorgonzola or bleu cheese (optional)

1. Mix dry spices. Add sauces, milk, parmesan, and bread. Mix into paste (a fork works well for this).

2. Add meat and crumbled cheese. Mix thoroughly.

3. Form into 1/4# patties. Coat outside of burgers with pepper to taste.

4. Grill over charcoal or gas (on high) for about 4 minutes per side.

5. Enjoy

I stayed the same this week. I'm ok with it since I've had a lack of motivation to exercise and falling/hurting my tailbone.

Waking - I've been looking for a good turkey burger recipe. I'll have to give that a try.

I'm on a new, very predictable schedule starting tomorrow, and I have no excuses anymore for not exercising. I'm outing myself here to make it all the more difficult (and potentially more embarrassing) for me to sit on my duff instead. So ya'll are on notice to hold my feet to the fire.

I've made this a few times! It's really pretty good. Not quite as filling as regular pizza, but it quenches that pizza craving nicely

So, the bad news is that I didn't lose any this week. The good news is that I had a few kick ass workouts, including a killer five mile run on a new trail route, and I didn't pig out afterwards. So I'll take that. Oh, plus I saw some of my cousins today and a few of them said that I looked great so I guess the hard work is paying off in that department too. The real payoff for me however is that I'm not having any knee pain going up or down stairs anymore and I don't feel like a fat blob. So, lots of good progress I think.
