I'm down .9 lbs this week.
Despite the best efforts of the Bay Area, I am down 1.8 lbs from last week. Currently 34.7 lbs away from my goal.

Y'all are doing so great! Wish I could say the same for myself, but...I can't. I have fallen back into my bad eating habits, and I haven't exercised in over a month. And the number on the scale keeps climbing.
I'm trying not to beat myself up over it. I need to plan better so that I make the time to exercise, and so that I have healthy food to eat, instead of reaching for the fast and convenient stuff.
Hopefully I'll have some progress to post in a couple of weeks.
Inconnu, you're not alone on that boat.
I fell off the wagon as well and after losing 12lbs since the beginning of the year, I put 10 of it back on over the last four months. I'd been walking, but while I've been eating healthier, I'd also been eating more than I needed to, hence the gain.
So I've been back on the wagon (tracking calories, etc on MyFitnessPal) and have added in strength training to get the scale moving in the downward direction again.

MFP really helps me in that I plan EXACTLY what I'm going to eat a day or two in advance. Then I make sure that what's on my list for that day is the ONLY thing that goes in my lunch bag.

ooh, that's a good idea. I know I do so much better when I log my food on MFP, but I also avoid logging when I know I'm not eating well. And I've been really bad lately at packing my lunch, which means I hit the nearby fast food places instead of eating healthy.

Inconnu, I pack my lunch the night before because I never have time in the morning. That ensures that I have the right foods to eat.
My body fat % went down slightly. It's been so frustrating to cut calories eat right and still have very little results. I've replaced all my strength training workouts with cardio for now just to try and get this body fat back down. I see SO in less than 2 weeks and I want to be looking good for her by then. My goal is to be under 6% body fat and I'm at 6.5% right now. This all started with a weekend of cheat meals and no exercise. I'm so kicking myself for that.
Down 1.4 off my slight gain two weeks ago. I still have 1.8 to go to win the elusive Copper Coin.

Summers are really tough for me. Though I do all my workouts religiously, I have far too many gatherings where there is booze involved.
Even though I have a HUGE picnic this Saturday and weigh in on Sunday morning, I'm really going to try to hit my goal this week.
We shall see!
I'm holding steady. There may be a slight downward turn for the number on the scale but it's too soon to tell. I got back on my bike this past week. Including today I've done 3 rides, for a total of 18 miles. My goal for the month is 50 miles. If I keep doing 2-3 short rides in the mornings before work, and 1 longer ride on the weekend, I should hit 50 miles no problem.
I need to do some menu planning, then hit the grocery store later today.
How's everyone else doing?
I gained 5 pounds in July. I went on vacation - ate too much junk food on the road trip there and back as well as while we were there. It was impossible to plan any health meal choices as it wasn't my kitchen and I had no idea what we were going to eat ever. Besides that... I only made it to zumba once in July.
Since then, I've started to cook healthier meals and smaller portions. I haven't found a method that works for me. I'm taking water with me when I go to work, but that's about it. I feel like things are kinda chaotic right now. Should be better once they are in school and things are on a better schedule. Course, that's just an excuse. I can start eating healthier any day. I need to start exercising at home as well. Instead of relying on only zumba.
I'm still looking at scales online and overwhelmed with the choices! I want a digital one that will give me a straight answer. With the scale I have now, I can shift my body to tweak my weight.
Anyone take weight loss pills? Vitamins? Drink protein shakes?
I make a protein shake/coffee drink for breakfast, which is really just adding protein powder to the cold coffee drink I was already making each day. But I haven't tried the meal replacement/diet type protein shakes, if that's what you're talking about instead.
Down another 2lbs this week.
Strength training is killing me, but it feels good once the workout is over.
I don't use weight loss pills.
I do enjoy green smoothies with either protein powder or a half cup of cottage cheese thrown in for extra protein.
Typically, my smoothie contains:
1 cup liquid (green tea, almond milk, or water)
1/4 to 1/2 cup fruit
2 handfuls of spinach
1/2 cup cottage cheese OR 1 scoop protein powder
1 Tbsp chia seed
0-2 Splenda packets as needed
Blend and enjoy!
FWIW, something I've learned about eating and weight, is that when DD and I changed our diet to gluten free, (mostly, lol), it was far easier to maintain my weight than before.
I am allergic to cain sugar, too and lactose -no, it's not easy to eat-I found it even better to maintain weight.
I've always had trouble losing it, except after all of this drama, but found removing those foods for the most part helpful. At first it was stressful, but now is not.
There is also the factor of thyroid, though I don't know the details, but if a thyroid is out of whack, it can mess with weight loss, I've read.
Body fat percentage stayed the same this week.
My weight has been steadily going up over the last month (a good thing for me).
I'm going out of town to see SO this weekend. I've always struggled with my diet when I visit her and exercise is almost non existent. So that is something I'm going to try and do a better job with this weekend.
I drink protein powder. I mostly use it in recipes though. I like "Body Fortress" whey protein powder. Walmart.com has it for like $15.
I eat protein bars too. They are a nice and convenient grab and go snack. Just watch the sugar content on some of them. Some of those so-called healthy protein bars have as much sugar as a candy bar.
I like the Pure Protein bars and some the Met-Rx bars. Some of the Met-Rx bars are a little high in sugar though so just read the label.
This weeks "Skinny Doctor" meeting has me down 1.8. Better than I was thinking. :)
Class reunion left me up .2 lbs. Not as bad as I had feared.
