I gained a 1 lb. Still 7 lbs from my goal. I stopped exercising. I need a swift kick to start up again.

Myname posted 9/29/2013 11:19 AM

Jo2love, those last few pounds are always the hardest. Getting back to the exercising may help you knock off what's left. Make it a priority in your day to exercise. Schedule the time into your day, just like it's a doctor's appointment that can't be broken. I know I feel so much better when I exercise.

Speaking of which. I haven't been exercising much. Just a walk here and there. I've been pretty busy at work and since my job is pretty physical it's not like I'm not exercising at all. I'm not making any strength gains but I've been maintaining my body fat %. I'm at 6.5%. I'd like to be a little bit lower but I'm not complaining.

After Halloween, when work starts to slow down, I'm going to kick my exercising into high gear and workout hard all winter. I guess I'm giving myself permission to cruise on the exercise part of things for a little bit. I'm still really watching what I eat though.

jo2love posted 9/30/2013 10:55 AM

Thank you, Myname. I think I'm going to set a daily alarm on my phone and name it exercise.

Your job has like a super mega workout.

Myname posted 10/6/2013 13:52 PM

I guess I'm just maintaining. Not a bad thing.

How did you do this week Jo2Love?

jo2love posted 10/13/2013 16:25 PM

Hi, Myname. How was your week?

I've been on a honey crisp apple kick lately. I can't get enough. Which is way better than eating chips. I started exercising again. I'm back on track.

Myname posted 10/13/2013 16:55 PM

Good to hear Jo2love. I was thinking about you this week and was hoping to hear you got back to the exercising.

I think I'm having an unofficial cheat day today. Although a cheat day for me means trail mix, peanuts, and a lean pocket. Not exactly a cheat day but I'll just tell myself that.

Body fat % under 6% this morning. I've been working a lot the last few weeks so I'm sure that's helping me out considering I haven't been exercising.

jo2love posted 10/13/2013 17:01 PM

That's terrific!!
My treat days usually involve chocolate. Yours sound much healthier.

Myname posted 10/13/2013 17:29 PM

The last time I had chocolate was July 4th weekend and SO was visiting. The sugar hit me and I went on a 25 minute comedy routine that involved several different "characters". SO ended up hurting her back she was laughing so hard. I try and stay clear of chocolate and any other sugar for the most part. It makes me crazy.

jo2love posted 10/13/2013 17:34 PM

At least you made SO laugh.

little turtle posted 10/15/2013 12:26 PM

I'm starting to get back on track! I did a Zumba class and a new overall fitness class on Friday morning and this morning. Burned 1000+ calories both days.

Hopefully, I can continue to make healthier food choices. I'm thinking about going a week without pop/soda to see how that goes. Usually, I can't go more than a day or two... I'm addicted. I'll need to find a healthy replacement drink.

strongerdaybyday posted 10/15/2013 12:34 PM

Hi all - I'm new to this forum - I just started Shaun T's Focus T25 - I don't really want to lose much weight but I want to tone the *ahem* flabbier sections of my body and keep my weight in check.

Myname posted 10/20/2013 18:14 PM

Little turtle have you tried any of those flavored sparkling waters? I don't drink soda ever so that's what I drink instead. No sugar, no caffeine, and no calories. I have a pet peeve about drinking my calories. I'd much rather eat my calories.

Welcome stronger.

So this week I got my body fat % down to below 5.5%. I've been trying to get back to that for probably 6 months now. The last month and a half I cut back on my calories and really focused on my diet and have been steadily loosing body fat. I was at 7% 5 weeks ago.

I'm still off my the exercising thing but I have been working a lot this past week. As long as work is slowed up some I'm going to start back up with my workouts November 1st.

Hey, another thread I can relate to! I am in Weight Watchers since Jan. and have been struggling to get to my 25lb milestone. Been on the verge for what feels like months. I have a lot more to go after that, so I'm anxious to continue my journey. But there always seems to be a setback.

Unfortunately, with D-day happening two days ago, now all I can think about is comfort-eating. I don't even want to think about how many points I ate yesterday. I have no idea how to stay on track. I'm just too distracted and upset, and I'm already planning on skipping my weigh-in and meeting next week because I can't face up to it. I know that's a terrible idea, but I just can't imagine walking in there.

jo2love posted 10/28/2013 18:57 PM

Welcome to the Healthy You thread.

I'm down 1 lb. I still have zero motivation to exercise.

inconnu posted 10/28/2013 19:28 PM

I have been MIA for all of October, I think. It's been a hectic month. I was in not 1 but 2 car wrecks (the 2nd one was in the rental I had while my car was being fixed) , had several interviews and then started my new job a week ago today.

Considering how stressful it got there for a while, I haven't done as badly as I expected to. There's been no weight gain, and possibly a slight loss, which is a really good thing. But I haven't exercised either, and I need to get back on track with that.

It looks like there's a walking path near the office building where my new job is. Now that the weather is getting nicer here, I may start walking at lunch.

I'm glad you are ok. That had to be scary.

inconnu posted 10/28/2013 19:51 PM

I wasn't hurt. One of my sons was with me for the 2nd wreck. He wasn't hurt either. That's all that matters.

Oh, and btw, a VW beetle can take out a Dodge Ram pickup. The pickup turned left in front of me, failing to properly yield, and I pretty much t-boned it in the passenger door. The pickup rolled. The Beetle took the impact, went crunch in the front, and stopped right on the spot.

Myname posted 10/28/2013 20:28 PM

I went to visit SO this past weekend which usually means that my diet gets all screwed up but not this time. I stayed with in my diet. I haven't hopped on the scale or checked body fat % but I think I'm good.

I was planning on starting my exercising again November 1st but it looks like I'm going to be busy at work for the next few weeks. I may be firing my employee so that means it will be all Myname doing the work. So there will be plenty of exercise.

ETA: Welcome Embee.

Welcome, embee! If it helps, PM me anytime, as I’m on WW too! I’d be happy to commiserate with you or kick you in the arse – just ask!

Life seems to have temporarily gotten in my way – missed two WW meetings and was up 2.4 at Sunday’s weigh-in. TOTALLY expected, given the stress I’ve been under lately. Well, that and the corned beef hash ‘n eggs and salted peanuts I had on Saturday. Salt is a killer, folks! So, back on track it is! I also didn’t track at all those two weeks – very bad, very bad. I’d eat food and say “Well, I “think” that’s 3 points” – nope, that’s not following the program!

The Y keeps messing with our class schedule and it’s been tough to get on track there. Things seemed to have settled and it looks like my classes will be offered Tuesdays and Thursdays as well as Sunday afternoons. ‘cha, right – Sunday afternoons – for The Commish…if I make 3 until the end of football season, I’ll be shocked. I’ll have to get something in on Saturdays then when the Badgers don’t play.

Can you tell where my REAL priorities are?

Hey AJ...

I just joined WW's this past Thursday to get these last 11 lbs off. I'm down 4 solid pounds as of today

I'm only doing the on-line version but I'm tracking every single thing, including allocating my points in the morning for my wine in the evening

I'm motivated!!

MissesJai posted 10/30/2013 10:31 AM

hey guys. Checking in. I started Atkins again - day 9 of induction and I'm down 6 lbs. I'm happy.
