The company I work for prides itself on being frugal, which translates into salaries on the real low side. It's been a good learning experience, and adds some more skills to my resume, but it's not a company with any growth potential. Which I knew, going into the job. It was always intended to just be a stepping stone.
And my youngest will be 18 next month, and that means no more CS. Budget-wise, things have already been a little tight with the CS. Without it, well, let's just say it's not going to be pretty.
Sigh, I had really hoped to be in a better position financially by this point. I thought I had an almost sure thing on a new job last month, but I guess my sister's old boss was talking out his ass. Which really sucks, because while I wasn't counting on the job, I did at least expect him to interview me, because he told my sister he'd call me. And if I got the job, it would have given me a skill set I could expand on, and have career growth.
Oh well, it is what it is. But what it is, is that now I really need to work on looking for a new job.
I'm mostly just whining here, btw. I'm hoping if I get the whining out of my system here first, I'll be more likely to start looking at the job search sites again. Say what you wanna say and let the words fall out...honestly
I wanna see you be brave
Pretty pretty please, don't you ever ever feel
Like you're less than, less than perfect
